There’s a reason Gordon Brown’s Labour party is going down in flames. Well, there are actually a lot of reasons. But here’s another one.
Labour Foreign Office Minister Chris Bryant wants to dump the Red Cross’ well-known logo because it is supposedly linked to the Crusades.
Forget the fact that the logo has been one of the world’s most identifiable symbols for more than 100 years. Bryant is quivering with fear that it may suddenly offend Muslims. And that, of course, simply will not fly in today’s politically correct world.
Don’t dispair. There are voices of reason in the British Parliament.
“At face value to the layman it seems at best a solution looking for a problem,” said Philip Davies, a Tory Member of Parliament, “and at worst another example of extreme political correctness. No one has ever suggested to me that the Red Cross refers to the Crusades.”
Davies is on the right track. Turns out the logo has absolutely nothing to do with the Crusades. In fact, the Red Cross Movement wasn’t founded until 1863. It’s logo, a red cross on a white background, is the reverse of the Swiss flag. It’s never had any religious meaning and tradition says it’s a tribute to legendary Swiss neutrality.
Davies is also demanding that Hershey change the logo for the Hershey bar because it’s half nuts and that will offend Muslims, too.

Please tell me this is a joke?! The Red Cross flag did indeed originate as the reverse of the Swiss flag and as a sign of neutrality in providing aid. Years ago, to short circuit this kind of stupidity, Muslim countries used a red Cresent for their medical aid groups under the Red Cross. Why are people so afraid of the Muslims? The radicals are like animals, they smell fear and become even more aggressive. Seriously, men do not know how to fight. They fight for show, "shaking their d$%#s at each other. Women are moved to fight much more slowly, but they fight to win. After 9/11 when it was established that Osama was hiding in the hills and caves of Afghanistan they should have warned the civilian population to evacuate, then carpet bomb the whole place. Bet some of the subsequent bombings would have never taken place. They know that we will do nothing and they will get away with whatever atrocities they choose. Cowboy up America!

No, no, no, no, no... Hershey's is only half nuts, any Muslims that would be offendec by such are 100% TOTALLY nuts. Big Difference.
