Just the other day we wondered, “What ever happened to Rodney King?” He used to find himself in trouble and his name in the headlines on a regular basis, but he hadn’t been heard from for a few years.
But now the drought has ended and the Pasadena Star News has the story of Rodney’s well-timed return to the public eye:

One day before his famous videotaped beating at the hands of a group of Los Angeles police officers, Rodney King was cited Wednesday evening for driving with an expired license, police said.
A patrol unit pulled King over after a motorist called 9-1-1 and reported someone driving recklessly in the area of Santa Anita Avenue and the 210 Freeway, Arcadia police Lt. Paul Foley said.
After issuing him a ticket for having an expired license, officers allowed King’s girlfriend to drive him home, Foley said.
Foley said he could not confirm it was in fact the same Rodney King who was beaten by police March 3, 1991, sparking events that eventually culminated in the Los Angeles Riots a year later, but the two shared the same name and birth date.
We actually kind of like Rodney. He one of those amiable screw-ups who just can’t keep himself from doing something stupid every once in a while.
He’s a good guy. In fact, you might even say Rodney’s tough to beat. Well, no, on second thought, that’s probably something you wouldn’t want to say.

I lived in Kalifornia when ol' Rodney got his ass beat. I watched the entire video, not just the re-edited crap that annoyed us on the lamestream news every 15 minutes! He deserved every bounce of a baton on that rock hard head of his and we made him a national f***ing hero. That SOB made my taxes go up to pay for his 'pain and suffering!' Just another of the many, many reasons I left Kalifornia.
Come visit LA, where they treat you like a King!
this guy is just another example of how far our country has fallen.
to give this low-life drug addict a story like this is a shame.
This is not NEWS-WORTHY.
you guys should meet with your editor more often and take classes on what is and what IS NOT NEWS.
He is nothing more than a waste of humanity.
