The $64 gazillion question: “This budget never, ever, ever reduces the debt. Is that right?”

tim-geithner-treasury-secretary

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner screwed up again. And this time he can't blame Turbo Tax.

Rep. Rob Woodall, a Georgia Republican, danced around with Tim Geithner and finally couldn’t take it anymore. So he asked the question so clearly and slowly that even a Treasury Secretary could understand it:

“This budget never, ever, ever reduces the debt, is that right?”

We knew the answer. You know the answer. But it’s worth investing 22 seconds of your life to watch Geithner say the words.

    • am considering selling thirty oz when it hits 1440...

but, will transform that $$ into MOAR BULLETS, and perhaps a nice .308 or two...

      • I went down that road in 2008 when it looked like obama was going to win. 308 is pretty damn expensive even though its been manufactured all over the nato world for decades. Not sure why....maybe armies are buying it all up.If youre waiting for shit to hit the fan I suggest the Ak47. The guns are cheap and the russians put out lots of cheap ammo that the ak gobbles up without problems.Last month 308 remington brass (just the shell) was going for about 50 cents per round. You can get almost 7.62 bullets for that!

Aks don't shoot very straight but chances are you aren't going to need to snipe at people if SHTF. Ghetto-blastin at close range will do it. Oh, and if you do your homework the Ak can be converted to full-auto in a few hours with simple tools. I have mine essentially ready to do that. The day the bond market shits I'll do the grinding and filing for the conversion and be ready to rock and roll.

  • So let me get this straight, one of the White House poodles tells us that his own budget is unsustainable, yet at the same time, the White House is organizing protests in State capitols against government's that are trying to bring in real budgets? Un-frickin'-believable.

    • not really. timmay can sell bonds to ben for $ created from thin air because timmays irs can hunt you down for the rolling interest payments. and if the dollar devalues then timmay can take part of anything you buy now and sell later as capital gains tax.

oh ya....timmay used to work for the same banks that ben does now (the ones that got bailed out by themselves amd timmay).

      the deficit is intentional!

  • Don't worry Americans, your debt woes ARE OVER!

OB has proposed a $5.50 fee on each and every Canadian arriving in the U.S. by air or sea. Yes! Our troubles are over!!!

Now if only he would charge the same amount to all those crossing the Mexican border by foot, he might REALLY eliminate that big honkin' debt.

  • off topic, but I gotta ask...

am I the only one NOT getting cspan3? How many cspans are there now?
do they have cspan OnDemand, yet?
I couldn't even Imagine, House Budgetary Committee Hearings, OnDemand?!?
Just Pop some Corn, pour up the Malteds' and you've got Saturday Night Date Night @ theBeachBums Oceanside Bungalow.

    • I called my provider... it was an oversight. I now have all the cspans. I would have called it a consprcy , but they plugged it right in ;)

Thanks, Sat TV! ( I can't mention their name because I don not live inside the US)

  • That's right, this budget is a disaster. It's much worse than the $1.6 TRILLION deficit; Obama is just kicking the can down the road when it comes to entitlements.

  • Why do so many of them look like Beavis & Butthead? Timmy's next words were: "This budget is TP, TP for my bunghole."

    • The budget never ever reduces the debt but if the dollar melts down each American is guaranteed a unicorn fart pillow and blankie.

    • I would give that ten thumbs up if I could since it's so true and made me laugh for about a minute. Nice work!
