Salon editor Joan Walsh should get down on her knees and say a prayer of thanks to whatever God she worships, for He, in his wisdom, endowed her with a blessed ignorance that protects her from seeing what a moron she is. Surely, if she had any degree of self-awareness she would never venture beyond the confines of her own home again, much less attempt to speak in public.
Walsh guested on Hardball, where despite video proof offered by host Chris Matthews that senate candidate Richard Blumenthal blatantly lied about serving in Vietnam, she said, “They’re distorting his words. It’s very difficult to say he lied.” In addition to being ignorant, she also made herself asinine by making those little finger quote motions around the word “lied.”

It gets even better at the 7:29 mark when Mathews, painful as it must have been for him, had no choice but to point out that Walsh was wrong, causing her to revert to an expression that one imagines monopolizes most of her face time – the confused dog/tilted head look.
Of course the true depth of Walsh’s “intelligence” was forever memorialized in an earlier video that went viral – her classic exchange with Mika Mxyzptlk, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe show.
Mika, the very model of vapidity, openly mocks Walsh right to her face. And let’s face it, when someone as dense as Mika finds you mockworthy, you must begin to realize just how low you reside on the evolutionary scale.

what is Salon and why should I care?
It's an artsy-fartsy high-brow avant guarde wanna be New Yorker style liner for bird cages.
Ah... it is liberal garbage. Well obviously they don't hire very smart people. What a waste of life.
I always thought it was a gay lefty website with stuff like 'Tom The Dancing Bug' a webcomic that is funny about 1% of the time, and nonsensical bigotry against republicans and breeders the rest of the time. Their logic is "trust us -- we're edgy and avant-garde".
To line your birdcage with it, you'd need to put your laptop in it -- and after viewing it once or twice, you'd see the logic in so doing.
She is a moron. That is pretty clear. And like Obama, she cannot think on her feet. All she has is the party line and if the conversation strays from that, they are lost. In the Hardball clip did anyone else catch the comment that Matthews went in the Peace Corps rather than serve in the military. That may explan the grown th the liberal groups-normal people did their duty and served. As a result, many died ( some 58,000 I believe). The wusses like Matthews were deferred and worked in the Peace Corps, thereby surviving and reproducing.

I especially love Chrissie's line "we disagree, that's why we're both here" as if MSNBC actually seeks guests who would disagree with any of their hosts.

Brown sold his soul so long ago that he comes off as nothing but a big vacuum for evil intent.
Like Sheryl says, it did look like she was hoping other would pile on. That's how liberals do things, a prime example is the View.
I had an e-mail exchange with Walsh once 2-3 years ago about one of the more balanced Salon features that they were doing away with. I didn't mince any words, I said that whoever made the decision to scrap it should be demoted back to the mailroom. I must have hit a nerve because she fired back a very nasty e-mail that made me think she was not happy with my opinion.
Point is, they have nothing. No record of success, no message, no deeply held principles. Demonizing and vilifying those they disagree with is the only method they have now that the hope and change euphoria has worn off.... and they cannot effectively defend what they are doing..
I am patiently waiting to see the results of the election next month and listening to people like Walsh blame people like me for the resounding setback that is about to be made manifest.
I like the way she's looking around the panel waiting for one of the other hosts to jump in and agree with her. The "come hither" look... "come on guys, some one back me up , please, someone, anyone... dont leave me hanging here by myself."
