• LEGAL immigrants are PROUD to be AMERICANS. Certainly they value their cultural heritages from their former countries, but they are now AMERICANS first. I have not seen this kind of loyalty and gratitude from ILLEGAL immigrants. They are the illegals marching in our streets for THEIR rights in a America while waving a foreign flag and shouting in a foreign language.

  These are the ILLEGALS who eagerly join La Raza (the race), La Mecha (The man) and Atzlan (America stole most of Mexico from us) activists. Others join Chinese Tangs and murderous Russian criminal organizations. (I could mention others from other nations.) They all have ONE thing in common. They entered America illegally. I have to add they are also RADICALS who work against assimilation as Americans and they bring their habitual corruption with them.

  That said, those who hire them are almost equally guilty AND if ILLEGALS pay SS taxes, etc., it's most often with STOLEN SS cards and birth certificates. They get free educations if they are born here to ILLEGAL parents and all too many of them wind up in our prison system.. Once again WE pay. WE the People are compelled to pay for their food and housing and guards to keep them from killing each other and inmates.

  Lastly, many of the ILLEGALS are illiterate in any language. The inscription on "Lady Liberty" did not say, "Bring us your IGNORANTS."

    If you knew anything about world history you would know that native americans as you call them immigrated here from another continent and when they did, there was NO UNITED COUNTRY. You are a serious moron. Native Americans lived in tribes and dispersed around the continent. There was no unity, there were no unified laws. Once the country became unified and entitled as a country it has the rights to determine and PROTECT its borders and to know who is in the country for its and the citizens protection.     You don't know me so you don't know what I have had to go through to get legal status and citizenship in this country. What kind of jobs I had to take and what I had to endure. You don't know what I would do or won't do or consider. NOR do you know how long I had to work at each job, nor how many jobs I had to get to get to the point where I am at and where I want to be.     The types of jobs that "Jorge" works at be it of equal or lesser value than the jobs that I worked at, doesn't mean that he is better than me or that he DESERVES better treatment than me. Just because I would choose one job over another and it doesn't pass YOUR judgement of "difficulty" doesn't mean that "Jorge" who disobeyed the law gets to have EVERYTHING he wants handed over to him hand and foot. You have NO IDEA what I had to go through, how much money I had to save, how many jobs and how many things I had to do, the hoops I had to jump through nor the issues involved. Waiting patiently means that I had to bite the bullet, dot the i's, leave under the law, live on the straight. Basically be a law abiding, decent human being when circumstances of life would have rather me not be that. Education in latin america is free and public to everyone (unless someone chooses to go to a private institution) even though not perfect, you get out of it what you put into it and if "Jorge" didn't put anything into it, he would have gotten nothing out of it and therefore people like him do not deserve pithy. I got out of it what I could because I cared enough to get an education in the end. Which involved WORK something that "Jorge" didnt want to do, instead he wanted easy hence why he jumped the fence.

    This thing about all illegal immigrants paying taxes into the society is bogus. If there is a number it is a minority. Even if that is the case, that doesn't mean that they still should live here illegally because even if they are paying minimal taxes (and most poor people pay no taxes anyway) he is getting out of the system much more than he is putting in. Whereas I am putting a lot in and getting not much out of it.

  • First off, the reason Jorge's job pays jack is because employers know that Jorge will do it for less than a citizen. 20 years ago, Jorge's US job paid good, with benefits. I and many others would have happily worked those jobs. You're damned right, I will not work as a meatpacker for $8 an hour -- if the wages had kept pace, they'd be $25 an hour, and that's a pretty fair wage.

    When millions of Jorges came across, employers took advantage because Jorge won't complain about low wages or conditions because of the fear of la migra, and the unions laid down on the job, because Jorge pays union dues and will not strike for fear of la migra.

    We are not in charge of whatever shithole country Jorge comes from -- if Jorge wants to improve his homeland, no one here's keeping him from it. Wanting to move to the US and flee his problem means that Jorge doesn't really want to fix things at home -- just take advantage of the hard work of others.

    Saying that this is the only option for Jorge is blatantly racist on your part -- you're saying that people with a different skin color than you are incapable of operating good government, free from corruption, and their only option is to move up here to where the good white democrats will make everything nice for them in exchange for voting against those evil republicans (as long as Jorge doesn't kill your smug buzz or move into your neighborhood/vote for the wrong guy/have an opinion -- then you jump on the poor f*cker with both feet).
