SEIU siphons ‘dues’ from Michigan Medicaid payments. “If you’re a parent who accepts Medicaid payments from the State of Michigan to help support your mentally-disabled adult children, you qualify as a state employee for the purposes of the Service Employees Intl Union (SEIU).” Why? Because you’re a caregiver. “This allows the SEIU to deduct union dues from your Medicaid payment!” Yep, the Democrat Party lives to serve the public… over easy on toast to their cronies.

Stealing money from parents of disabled people...God Damn SEIU pricks stop at nothing....30 bucks a month, six million dollars a year from Michigan parents total to feed to liberal coffers from people who have disabled kids. They politicos that voted for this need to have their nuts cut off with a dull knife covered in salt.
Cause these people are, you know, professional, trained caregivers who are making a fortune caring for their disabled child, while worrying what will happen to them when Ma and Pa are dead and gone.
I am a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Yes, formerly Rocking Horse Guy. I learned early on in my apprenticeship that this was the only union I could ever be proud to be a member of.
I was working as an offroad forklift operator on a concrete plant expansion in the desert. I picked up a full trash bin to take it out to the parking lot and dump it in the dumpster. On the way, one of the Ironworkers jumped onto the machine with me, since I was going to the parking lot where the iron was laid out, intending to help me pick out some iron pieces to bring in on my way back. No problem.
One of the Laborers saw us heading out, and insisted that since I was hauling trash, which is under the Laborer's contract, HE had to ride with me out to the parking lot. To supervise the dumping of the bin, I assume. Well, I only have room for one person to ride with me, so after a while of the two of them arguing, and me sitting there in an idling piece of equipment, they decided that the Laborer would ride with me to dump the trash, then I would make a second trip with the Ironworker to get the iron.
Fact is, I could have done either one by myself, but each of those guys wanted to take a break from working and go for a ride on the forklift.

Twisting that socialist screw in one thread at a time. Another reason I HATE UNIONS. What's this called, 'disability dues'? I brush my teeth everyday, do I need to pay dental dues too?
By this line of reasoning, the Demorat Controlled State bozos will have people who plug in their own toasters pay dues to the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and someone who loads garbage in their own trucks paying to the Teamsters. Truly Pathetic!!!
Here in the Massachusetts SSR, I have heard it rumored -I concede strictly unconfirmed and little supported- that various unions (and their bitches) have tried floating legislation which would vastly expand the number of things a homeowner is not allowed to do in his own home, by way of repair - all in the name of safety of course, think of the children! For instance, now, only a licensed gasfitter may install gas appliances (stove, furnace, etc.). Now that I have no problem with, considering that the slightest error will probably result in deaths. But evidently some people think that even changing out light switches or bulbs and the hot-water tap are too complicated and risky for untrained shleps (who pay no union dues) to handle.
Even if this rumor is entirely unfounded -although it recurs every 4 or 5 years I think- what does it say that it is even as plausible as it is?!?
I used to go to conventions at McCormick Place in Chicago, a heavily unionized venue. They wouldn't even let you plug in your lights without a union electrician. It sucked. Eventually, people got the picture, adn stayed away in droves. The joke in the industry was:
Q: "How many electricians does it take to change a light bulb at McCormick Place?"
A: "You got a problem with it?"
I wonder who is more corrupt, the unions or the Marxocrat party?
