• I loved watching "Walker, Texas Ranger" when it was on. Occasionally, I'll watch a rerun.

  • Chuck Norris: he puts the the laughter in slaughter.

  • When I went to France to live for a while and people knew I was from TX that was about 90% of the time the very first thing out of their mouths. Something around the lines of they watch that show, they like it, or I am a ranger or do I know rangers from TX... :-/ I would be asked if I have guns and other nonsense like that. It was funny the first two or three times but after awhile it became annoying.

    • In the mid 90's a family from Maryland moved here (San Antonio, Texas) their kids were of an age with mine, so they because fast friends. THe oldeest (high school age) finally admitted he thought they would be riding horses to school! The ignorance is amazing! Kimmy, where are you?

      • LOL. I remember a friend in school (back in Panama) told me that when she came here to visit family members they were asking her if she knew what things like grass and trees and buildings and cars were. Somehow the girl had an idea that my friend lived in the jungle. I of course believe that is not just necessarily the girl that came up with that idea by herself. Her parents also must have been ignorant and didnt know how else to explain Panama to their children. It is amazing people are stupid and/or willfully ignorant. I live near Houston.

        • Cool! I have a daughter in College Station. Yeah, one wonders about the parents, but in this familys case,the Dad was a nval operative of some kind and the mother was a teacher (yeah, yeah, I know) so one would think they would have better prepared them for the move. When I moved from Mississippi to ALaska, my parents quickly convinced me we were not going to live in an igloo. Of course, I was 3 1/2 then!
