So long, Alan Grayson. And thanks for all the laughs!

It is not entirely true that nobody likes a sore winner. We happen to like them. And we’re betting that you do, too. That is why, against the better judgement or mothers everywhere, we are going to treat you at least one more laugh at the expense of fired congressman Alan Grayson.

Don’t worry, the guy who made a (thankfully brief) political career out of hating the rich is worth about $31 million. He can afford it.

And so on to The New York Times:

He has zero faith in the incoming speaker of the House, John A. Boehner, whom he calls a “tool of special interest.”

He derides the Tea Party’s successes as “bought and paid for by the enormously rich and the selfish.”

And he can barely contain distaste for his Republican successor, whose views he sums up as “bizarre fundamentalist.”

Representative Alan Grayson, a Democrat from Florida’s Eighth Congressional District, is leaving office on Wednesday much as he entered it two years ago — as the pugnaciously partisan, verbal-bomb-tossing, liberal folk hero of the 111th Congress.

Given that liberal folk heroes are generally comprised of cop killers, mass murderers and eugenicists, it cannot be certain that this send off can be considered as a compliment.

Not to worry though. Our sendoff will be with much less ambiguity. And without even the hint of anything that could be considered complimentary.

Hey, Alan. Na na na na, hey hey hey, GOODBYE!

  • If I recall correctly, he lost by something around 18 percentage points.

In other words, he got his @$$ handed to him.

    LOL

    • He should have lost by more. Much more. I can't imagine anyone with any brains voting for Grayson, he is nothing short of a clown.

      • "He should have lost by more. Much more..."

That's the tricky part when Dems win or lose...with all the fraud, it's nearly impossible to figure out the real percentage. Scott Brown in MA was an example...he won by what, 53% to Coakley's 46%. Methinks it was more like 60% with all those liberal/union thugs out there, in the bluest of blue states, hammering away for "Ted Kennedy's seat".

        • You make a good point. Sometimes when these liberals win or lose I feel there was some intervention there regardless of the results is just that sometimes the effort is not enough like perhaps in this case of Grayson.

  • The New York Times approvingly characterizes Grayson as a "...pugnaciously partisan, verbal-bomb-tossing, liberal folk hero..."

The same New York Times would characterize a conservative who spoke and acted like Grayson as contributing to a climate of hate in the country.

But Grayson will make a lot of money in the future being "pugnaciously partisan" and "tossing verbal bombs" at Democrat fund raisers, college campus Young Democrat meetings and AFL-CIO conventions.

    • It would be funny if he was brought in as a commentator or something on CNN or MSNBC...that would give Mr. Editor and Mr. Administrator plenty of new material for this blog...hehehe

And it would drive CNN and MSNBC ratings past the toilet and into the septic tank...

      • I think he will get a limited gig at MSNBC. To the extent that Special Ed always has him on his show, he will appear regularly on MSNBC. I could see him guest hosting as well, at least before ComCast decides they actually want a return on their investment when they assume control.

    • That we cannot explain. But the dancing fan made it a lot more interesting than the old footage and bad hair on the Steam in concert version.
