Now I’m 68, and there’s still no sign of warmer weather. It’s enough to make one doubt the ‘settled science’ of the government-funded doom-sayers.” Well, the explanation for this apparent anomaly is… SHUT UP!

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

I live in Central Illinois and we just had record breaking snow last week. Global warming, my ass.

I moved to Florida to get away from the cold, each winter since I've been here (8+ years), it's gotten colder, and for a longer period of time.
I know, it's a result of Global Warming.

  If you really want heat there's always Death Valley or Palm Springs. Problem is they're both in California.
