Good God what is going on here? Any constitutional defenders left in the Pentagon or are they all part of The Plan?
THey are all part of the plan. Along with Party leaders on both sides.
That the current admin is trying to push the envelope on executive power is obvious. That they are try desensitize people to use of troops in posse comitatis situations.
If they start training SF guys to infiltrate gun shows and ranges, maybe then I'll worry a bit.
I'm not worried about the SF guys and this wasn't directed at them. It's the people at the top who pull the strings I'm worried about.
I read they've been doing it for years in NC so why the sudden change? The way the government pees away money I don't buy that they're trying to save money or that sequester is the real reason they decided to postpone this.
No, I think the people at the top have more nefarious reasons.
Look at other indicators.
1. Targets of children, old people, pregnant women.
2. DHS buying billions of rounds of ammo.
3. DHS buying hundreds of armored vehicles.
4. DHS now showing up at train stations.
5. Obama and Holder's attempt to make it OK to smoke US citizens inside the US.
6. Generals fired.
7. Petraeus outing.
8. New CIA and Pentagon bosses (Perhaps the previous one's wouldn't walk lock step with Obama's plans?)
9. This big sudden push for gun control regulations.
Not to mention there's a lot going on we don't know about.
Hopefully not some giant conspiracy but a series of coincidences. But, when you start having too many coincidences you have to start wondering.

Way too many coincidences, add in the Internet Kill Switch, the NSA data grabbing center, a totally compliant media and drones a plenty. I don't think Orwell could have come up with anything like this.
The article is too stupid to comment on. Cliff notes: (1) The exercise was called off because of sequestration cuts and (2) some idiots - I mean, residents were afraid the locals would turn it into some kind of Hunger Games. I'm sure these highly rational concerned citizens made up a significant percentage of the populace (I'm guessing, maybe 2%), but the wackos always emerge when a camera shows up.
Have to agree, non-story here. This is about what they're (hopefully/allegedly) doing in Afghanistan and other places, learning how to work with locals and getting them to work with you. It's not about taking over East Bumphuk, Utah. If this had ANY relevancy to internal US affairs at all, the scenario would be more along the lines of organizing people into a Resistance movement against invaders/occupiers, like North Koreans or space aliens.

If you think SF guys are going to be the ones to lead a take over of the US, you don't know many SF guys.
The green berets mission is critical in the war on terror since we need to get as much of the native populations to be pro western, or at least anti Taliban.
