That was GOP Rep. Steve Buyer speaking to acting Speaker of the House Laura Richardson (CA-37) on the floor of the House on Tuesday. Well, actually, his quote ends with the word “power,” but we’re pretty sure he was thinking the rest of it.
Buyer wanted to be recognized to speak about a piece of legislation the Democrats were attempting to sneak through the House without debate and without any committee oversight.
When she wouldn’t give him five minutes to speak, he asked for one minute.
Richardson, never known as a genius, was obviously unused to wielding the gavel and didn’t know what to do. Didn’t have a clue. You can see her repeatedly looking to her right (camera left) to get instructions from House Democrat minions.
The longer it went on, the more aggravated Buyer got. Eventually, enraged at her high-handed tactics, he erupted, saying, “This is why the American people have thrown you out of power.”
Then, while Richardson got more and more confused, Buyer, who knew he was unlikely to get any more camera time to voice his complaints, decided to show his frustration by pacing back and forth in front of the podium where he would continue to be seen.
Our favorite moment? Watch for his exasperated response when Richardson calls an unexpected recess rather than allow him to speak.

She should be selling shoes at Penny's, not making decision about the future of our country.
I don't agree with everything any one party does or supports. But could anyone watch this and not realize this woman is 1) a moron 2) ill prepared for her temporary job 3) Completely unaware of how the system even works? Plus her affect is completely flat, which is a symptom of severe mental disease. How do these people get elected? Well, I know, but its still unbelievable. Every state of the Union requires basic American history and civics in elementary, middle and high school. You would think they would remember a shred here and there! On top of that, add her to the fugly list. If she had any expression, maybe she would be ok, but that facial demeanor is unsettling at best.
Given that Laura Richardson has been in Congress since 2007, you'd think that by being there for three years she would have learned something about the Speaker's job just by observing previous Speakers. Sadly, this is not the case. I'm not sure that Richardson is fully aware of where she is.
We need more people like him.

Not that I disagree w/ Mr. Buyer but I don't think the Rs are beyond these sorts of tactics themselves. I guess we'll find out here in a few weeks. Anyone heard the rumors that Boehner may not let Paul sit on the Monetary Policy committee?
The difference is that they will at least know how to bend the rules themselves and not need a handler to whisper in their ears. That Richardson really needs a good upper-cut to the vagina.
You're probably right about that. Not only that Buyer is being questioned for his own ethic's these days! Ya can't tell what's a put on, or what is real anymore!!
Yep, and even ethics investigations are shams -- some political operatives just keep filing complaints, and their news toadies report them as fact.

We've allowed the dems to redefine democracy. The hybrid term is idiocracy. All we can hope for now is for their batteries to go dead.
Don't you just wish they would show this on a real TV station so the American electorate could see these lefty idiots and their abuse of power? If we could get this on the nightly news like they threw up pictures during Vietnam, we would win race after race walking away!

A friend of my has this theory that the movie Idiocracy was actually a documentary. After seeing this video I'm inclined to agree.
