• I am not an Obama fan (either one of them) but seriously, its not like she writes the menus or handpacks the boxes! If a school is given reasonable guidelines and food services are too stupid to write a menu, properly store and prepare food, that is on them. And for a food services manager not to be able to fire people who can't or won't work together is absurd. Parents need to get involved instead ofjust bitching.

• She took the Former Secretary General of the U.N. Seriously when he said we should eat bugs.....I still say both of them can eat feces and expire....

  • I guess she did! The USDA is begging kids to send out pics of appetizing lunches. This might be more appetizing then most.

      Dung Beetle Stew
      Gas station Sushi
      Science lab bread
      Prunes for desert

      • Tuesday is "Fresh Shrimp" bought from the trunk of some guy on the Hollywood off ramp.
        Wednesday is T-Bone steak bought from a guy in a rest area on the PA Turnpike.
        Thursday is roadkill stew.
        Friday is "Mystery Gumbo".

• There was a joke running around the North Houston area when I lived there. What do you have when you get 32 girls from New Caney together? A full set of teeth! Surprised to see they still have a high school open up there...

• Outrageous! These insects had not been inspected and tested by the FDA before being fed to the students.

  • Given the lack of meat in the O approved lunches these guys have got to get their protein from somewhere!
