In this segment of Albert Einstein Meets Stephen Hawking, Mitchell attempts to explain an Obama Doctrine that Obama himself hasn’t articulated.
Under Mitchell’s imagined Obama Doctrine, we turn loose the dogs of war under three conditions: There’s a preventable humanitarian crisis looming, the benefits of intervention outweigh the costs and, finally, if there’s international support for intervening, we “go for it.”
She left out condition #4: If the media needs to support this President for actions it would have found unsupportable had any other President taken them.
