The scene was Fenway Park in Boston on July 4. The Red Sox had invited a disabled young man to sing the Star Spangled Banner.
It only took a note or two for the crowd to realize he wasn’t a professional singer. He missed a word or two, laughed nervously and then…a sell-out crowd of 40,000 joined in and helped him complete the anthem.
It’ll bring tears to your eyes. But not in the same way that Kerry and Kennedy do.
