Cuban punk rocker (who knew?) Gorki Águila is not a fan of Fidel Castro’s revolution.
“Communism is a failure. A total failure,” he says. “Please, leftists of the world-improve your capitalism. Don’t choose communism!”
Águila, who still lives in Cuba, wears homemade anti-Castro t-shirts, frequently denounces the Raoul and Fidel, and leads what may be Cuba’s only political punk band, Porno Para Ricardo. He is often arrested and charged with “social dangerousness.”
Cuban officials granted Águila a rare visa to travel abroad, hoping that he’ll travel overseas and stay there.
