• More bad news for the almighty Al the Goricle. The only temperature increase noted has been in the vicinity of the steam shooting out of Al's ears.

• They'll ignore this and call it results of global climate change. The hot zones of the globe are "pushing colder air" up the slopes of the Himalayas. The resulting colder climes are to blame for the rising infant mortality rate and lower life expectancies for the residents of the region. We'll also find a rise in the number of endangered species in the region. This is how they explained last winter in our country , remember? You stopped hearing global warming and they went to global climate change. This winter... we're back to hearing global warming again.

  • Now you've gone and done it! Our howling leecher will report your theory of 'Pushing Cold Air Up' to her handler and it won't be too long before they preach it from the mountain base, since it will be warmer down there. Nice move...

  • They are already awake......its a scam. Think about all of the Government Agencies, the Gores of the world, an entrenched UN IPCC looking for their global role, the Global Cap and Trade businesses, the EPA with its minions and its impact on the US economy etc. etc... And for what? Nothing will change, to much money being skimmed off.

• And from this week's "I can't believe they really said that" file:

  "...negligible mass loss from high mountain Asia, which is not significantly different from zero."

  So that's like -- zero?

  • In other words, it's so difficult to measure with any real accuracy, the region might have GAINED a little bit of ice. But they couldn't bring themselves to say that.

• You mean the glaciers won't have disappeard by 2035 (or whenever) after all? What a surprise, surely they can'y have got it wrong/made it up/told lies/relied on ineffectual models/been paid to say the opposite of the truth? Surely not - whatever will we do?

• I'm halfway around the world from there but I can hear the wheels of the AGW bandwagon falling off, and it's awfully loud at that.

• But those same slopes are littered with empty 02 tanks, remnants of tents and frozen bodies, that's OK.

• But didn't the tree ring data show they had mucho more ice before America invented Republicans? Or was that the hockey stick data? Hide the lack of decline!

  • Far and wide, not just the mountains of Asia! Stradavari and his ilk put that tight grain to use in Europe from the Mediterranean to the Channel.

    • Even the plywood trees in the jungles of Southwestern Ecuador were more dense back in those days.

      • The ever rare plywood trees, yes, evading extinction one global deep-freeze at a time.

• If the Himalayas have lost no ice I rather suspect that they have then gained ice. Glaciers don't remain static. That would be too much for any member of the ult of AlGore.

  As to the above, the USA is spending hundreds of billions on this farce since 0bama was ordained King. and tens of billions before that.

  In short, AGW has been the biggest con job in human history. We really should put those that have caused so much money waste and so much human suffering heads on pikes.

  • It's not just the money that makes it the worst con in history; it's the Luddite-minded idea that techonolgy is the enemy. It's the hatred of things that are efficient; things that have moved food all over the world and provided warmth - in sort, things that have extended our lifespan. Yes, the things that have extended our lifespan are supposedly killing us. Huh?

• The developed world and especially Europe is going broke living and paying for this fraud. And indirectly via the IMF, so is the USA.
