More likely a dry run to see how alert the airport security was. If the TSA was involved, they could have loaded 55 gallon drums of Anfo on the plane.

I disagree... it wasn't a false alarm. It was a test. The issue here was it a passenger or someone working for the airport and/or airline? That is what they need to figure out. They can't just say it is a false alarm and then move on with their lives.
