• Hey, Issa. Was there even a question about that?

• The GOP got played big time today. In this hearing the dems beat up on Gruber and he answered no questions unles he said I don't recall. And to make sure Grubergate was properly smothered, one of the wicked witches from the west pontificates and releases a partisan report bashing Bush and the CIA. As icing on the cake, they got GOP McCain to agre with release of the report. This later one steals ALL the headlines everywhere.

  If this was a football game it would be Dems 35 - GOP 3 at the end of Q1.

  • Yeah, I caught myself catching moon-eyed stares of wonder/curiosity/horror and realized I was talking (yelling?) back at Sen. McCain (on tv, jeesh) as he pontificated from the Senate floor today while at lunch. Talk about embarrassed. (one woman sitting next to us did wink with a smile)

• So until the likes of Issa and McClownel actually do something besides waste time and money on these bullshit fests, we can pretty much figure out who the stupid ones are.

• I get very uncomfortable when congresscritters start using the word "stupid." Doesn't matter whether they're Democrats or Republicans, it's like watching monkeys pound away at a typewriter—the monkeys don't see the irony, ya know?

  • I don't know I think in this case it was the correct question. Gruber seems to like shooting off his mouth and thinks he is smarter than everyone else, so in this case Gruber deserved to be asked if he was stupid, since he already said the voting public is stupid. Fair play, and about time one of the Republicans stood up and said I call bullshit.
