The weather makes a liar out of Al Gore and the Editor’s dad. Al Gore said we were headed toward a hot, dry desolate world where snow was a thing of the past. The Editor’s dad grew up in Montana and always said he moved to California “because August was the only month it never snows in Montana.” Oopsie. Accuweather says, “Snow started falling during the day Wednesday [August 31] in the Canadian Rockies and will continue in some areas across the northern Rockies of the U.S. early today. Enough cold air has arrived for snow to fall as low as 6,500 feet in Montana’s Glacier National Park….” Time for both men to readjust their thinking. That readjustment will be considerably tougher for the Editor’s father since he died in 1985. Gore, on the other hand, is still alive, although his credibility died sometime around 2001.

    • When it's cold out, it's called climate change. When it's hot it's global warming. How should anyone put any stock in a manufactured entity that has to rely on name changes every season change, just to justify its own existence?
