  • They also claim the test itself is racist, because it is in English, not ebonics, and presents scenarios and vocabulary not generally found in the ghetto.

  I was reading the linked story as that the HS2 Academy was doing this, then sending the adjusted scores on to the colleges, or that the SAT scoring system itself was doing this, rather than the way the colleges themselves practice tokenism by the numbers.

  • The bottom line is that (gAsp!) Not everyone is college material. Period. My kids are half white, half HispAnic. They are smart, hardworking, and are successfuland happy in their jobs without college degrees. Two of them never should have even tried college. They are not academically brilliant, but are artitic, creative and work hard. One is a chef, thd other was a retail manager in clothing, then cosmetics before she de c ided to be a stay at home mom. She also hasa photography business. Quit sending everyone to college. While Asian students getting awider exposure to.possible activitiesand majors sounds healthy, itis unfortunate that should affect their. Admission rate.
