USA Today’s weather page was a little hotter than usual on Friday, July 1. Seems to us this graphic may be a little too graphic.
Apparently staff cutbacks at Gannett are more severe than we thought. They seem to have laid off whoever was responsible for actually looking at illustrations before they run them.

They're actually in Holden, Massachusetts. The artist is Dick Hertz from Holden.
Uhm... I laughed because it sounds like a joke... is it a joke?
It's an old joke around the Worcester area at Holden's expense, but in this specific instance yes it's a joke, no it's not actually the artist's name.
LOL okay just wanted to make sure. :-)
Sounded pretty credible, though, didn't it? :D
Yes it did I had to stop and think about it!
Are they headquartered in San Francisco?
How to beat the heat.
What were they thinking? They weren't!
More disturbing, is the fact that it is MR. SUN wacking the pole.......there is no Mary involved......Oh....our wonderful gay friends.......stay tuned this will be mellow compared to what is coming down the trail....that light at the end of the tunnel for better moral values...is a train coming at us....I think it is wonderful that the good old Red Cross and the national weather service has their stamp of approval on the pic.....Just Peachy!!!!!!! That Doyle Rice & Julie Snider are just so much fun......Really classy...Love to have them over for one of my grand kid's birthday bashes...They would be such a hoot....I'm going to call the Red Cross Monday and congratulate them on their choice of sponsorship........
Has this made it on to FAILBlog yet?
It shall live forever beside the photo of the weatherman standing in front of the weather map, with a disturbingly-shaped frontal system seeming to project from his trousers.
I always liked the "Search for Rapist" one

That was messed up.
Yeah, was there yesterday. However, IHTM is always on the cutting edge of humor with their biting wit, and I prefer this article for the high quality mocking.
Why does Billy Sqiere come to mind? Especially the part about "Giving me the business"
Okay - the real joke...
The vice-president of a local company had quite a problem. He was told by his boss to lay off one of his employees, either Mary or Jack. His choice was a tough one because Mary had been a devoted employee for 10 years and Jack was a fine worker who had a family to support. At night, the VP tossed and turned in his sleep trying to decide which of his employees he would lay off.
Finally he decided, the first one to come to work tomorrow would be the one. Morning finally comes and the VP waits at the office for one of the two employees to arrive. At 8:55 Mary walks into the office. "I've got a difficult decision" the VP says, "I either have to lay you or Jack off." "Oh, jack-off," Mary says, "I've got a headache."
Was that the infamous Jack Meoff?
No, Jack Meoff is next in line to replace the aptly monikered Josh Earnest.
Things are bad over there... they laid Mary and Jack off.
Bwahahaha ... I'm ... laughing ... too ... HARD ... I ... can't ... write ... anything ... coherent. ... Whatta ... buncha ... idiots
