Venezuelan military seizes major retail chain

Venezuelan military seizes major retail chain. “Thousands of Venezuelans lined up outside the country’s equivalent of Best Buy, a chain of electronics stores known as Daka, hoping for a bargain after the socialist government forced the company to charge customers ‘fair’ prices.” Don’t think of them as “the military” but rather community organizers with assault weapons.

  • Better buy your lead ammo while you can, because Obama's EPA has already shut down the last lead smelting company in the US. Of course, you can always do what the punks in Gaza do when the Israeli Army drives by; they pull out their sling shots and shoot marbles at the vehicles as they whiz by. We'll be doing that soon, as Homeland Security whizzes by in their military upgraded urban assault vehicles we f***ing bought for them!

    • I talked to a guy that reloads. He buys lead from the local scrap metal dealer for less than they sell it on ebay, and he doesn't have to pay shipping.

    • Lead fishing weights, and an ammo mold. The old tire balancing weights also work well, from what I hear.

There is also a couple of videos on you tube showing rounds made of things like silly putty and other "unorthodox" materials. Whatever works I guess.

By the way, don't knock marbles and slingshots. Check out the slingshot channel guy.
Kill one invader, get one weapon, kill 2 invaders, get 2 weapons, repeat as necessary.

      • I have a Barnett "wrist rocket" type slingshot with the magnum bands.
Went looking for marbles in Walmart, and found that if you look in the area where the vases and artificial flowers are, you can get a bag of about 200 marbles for less than the box of 151 marbles they sell in the toy dept.

  • We will see this in this country, just wait and see. And the libs will applaud and congratulate themselves over their being so "progressive".

  • “This is for the good of the nation,” Maduro said. “Leave nothing on the shelves, nothing in the warehouses … Let nothing remain in stock!”

Great idea. When there is nothing to sell, you lay off the store employees and close the store. The manufacturer can't afford to make the stuff for that price, so they lay off all the employees and close down rather than lose money. No stuff to ship, so the truckers get laid off and trucking company closes down.
With all those people out of work, you have the start of a great Obama economy!

  • Being that Venezuela dosen't produce these kind of electronics, the people had better get them while they can, because I somehow doubt anybody will be too eager to send them any more.

  • Meanwhile in D.C., the contents of our executive mansion wonders when he will get to do this sort of thing all around this nation. Spreading the wealth around. Not this occasional mob theft crap, although is IS rather fond of that, too, as long as only Crackers get hurt, otherwise it is racist.

Expect several trillion new 100 dollar bills to be printed and shipped about the middle east and China, as well as bundler buddies in the solar bidniz. Once inflated to a mere 54% maduro was able to do this, imagine what can happen here!

  • Just to remind everyone this is also a Carter diplomatic cluster. He was the one slick Willie sent down to make certain that there where fair and honest elections. The Carter philosophy lives on.

  • Great way to get the uninformed masses behind your government. Nearly free TVs! Who controls the media in Venezuela? The Gooberment does. Give the masses a direct line to the dictator's teleprompter just in time for elections. Brilliant.
I bet that would work here too. Maybe imply that they are going to get nearly free healthcare or something. Nah, Americans are too smart to fall for that...

    • This is better then Rand, because it's happening live time. Venezuela is our future if we allow the progressive agenda to plow ahead.

      • Yea, and Obama is working hard to make this a reality:

Venezuela Bans Private Gun Ownership, China Condemns Gun Rights
        Helen Whalen Cohen | Jun 03, 2012

On Friday, the Venezuelan government banned all private gun ownership. Gun shops will no longer be allowed to sell firearms or ammunition to private citizens. Police and members of the military will be exempted from the ban. Officials told the Associated Press that the measure is meant to stem violent crime:
There's one problem, though. As a lawyer for Venezuela's opposition coalition explained, criminals in Venezuela aren't getting permits for their guns in the first place.
Luis Izquiel, a lawyer who heads a security committee for Venezuela's opposition coalition, said that while there are about 25,000 gun permits legally registered with the authorities, there are many more weapons on the streets. In 2010, Amnesty International estimated there were a total of 10 million firearms in the country.
"Here criminals don't use legal firearms," Izquiel said.

U.N. Praises Venezuela’s Total Gun Ban
Posted on March 6, 2013 by Stranger

I seen United Nations officials have praised Venezuela’s total ban on private gun possession. Even though it immediately sent Venezuela’s already sky high homicide and violent crime rates through the roof.
Well, that shows where the U.N. is on crime and violence. On the wrong side of law and order.

Venezuelan Government Recognizes Record Murder Rate
        Written by Miriam Wells
        Monday, 04 March 2013

The Venezuelan government has confirmed that over 16,000 people were killed in 2012, while over 2,000 were murdered during the first two months of 2013, pointing to little letup in the ongoing violence.

As EL Universal reports, figures released by national police agency the CICPC counted 2,576 murders in Venezuela during January and February 2013.

Meanwhile, Vice President Nicolas Maduro told Venezuela's National Assembly last week that there had been 16,072 recorded homicides in 2012, representing a rate of 56 murders per 100,000 inhabitants. However, as El Universal reports, an unofficial source at the CICPC said that Venezuela actually saw 21,600 homicides last year, a figure about 25 percent higher than Maduro's.

Yep, let's make sure to end murder and crime by banning guns!
