Just my own very unscientific poll.
I doubt it. Personally, I listen to the stories that come out on the radio or TV, but am not searching for further info. I know that with your job, it's quite interesting, and could have an effect industry wide. Have you seen any backlash from it yet?
Not from the DOJ/EPA or EU government yet. A lot of people at the very top have been suspended pending an investigation of how the software was developed and inserted into the emissions system. It is a mess but it seems unless you are an owner of one of the four-cylinder diesels, it is a nonstory.
That's why it won't gain much traction. Unless you have one, and the government decides you need to give it up, it doesn't really have much of an interest factor.
