What does “CGI” stand for? Comically Gruesomely Incompetent? Turns out CGI Federal Inc., the company that screwed up Healthcare.gov, was also tasked with distributing federal Hurricane Sandy relief. So far, in the one year since the disaster, only $700 million of the $60 billion aid package has reached actual victims… 1.2 percent.

  • CGI has cost Canadians billions in a bungled healthcare management project in Ontario (close to two billion and nothing to show for it) and the idiot long gun registry that cost untold billions of dollars and solved ZERO cases and kept ZERO firearms out of the hands of criminals. I can't blame the corporation for the registry, though, since it was done at the bidding of the idiot liberal federal government. The current government scrapped it, to the wails of anguished lefties from sea to shining sea.

    • The administration's deeds add up to intent to undermine the economy and destroy the middle class as well as wreck the country. In that context the efficacy of a website connected to bureaucratic expansion is irrelevant... and creating additional stress and aggravation plays right into their hands- it perpetuates chaos that they can present a remedy for. Calling them idiots and incompetent effectively gives a pass on the assumption that their intent is good. I have seen very little that reflects anything of the sort. As far as I'm concerned this is by design.

      This is the same creep establishment that went to additional expense to bar entry into privately funded and run facilities during the partial shutdown nonsense- which they've tried to exploit politically by blaming the Republicans-

      Beyond deliberate choices favoring ineffectual parties to implement things like the O-care website these clowns have enabled the looting of the middle class and the spoils of the work has consistently been outsourced in what strikes me as a concerted effort to ensure that as few domestic entities as possible are utilized... they couldn't find an American company to build the website? No, they went with a firm headquartered in Quebec.

      These are not actions of leadership that has any concern for where the economy is or any intentions to enable any job creation. The ACA itself seems to be designed to COST jobs and not mitigate the cost of health insurance nor the cost of care that underpins the insurance cost structure.

      In this years long process there have been innumerable opportunities for GOP leadership the true nature of what's unfolding but they have refused to take any advantage- pulling punches with seemingly calculated precision that has me convinced that they are obediently playing the foil so that anyone with an inkling of what's taking place might be fooled into believing that they have a voice and there's someone in government willing to safeguard our dwindling rights and freedoms when (at least as far as I'm concerned) nothing could be further from the truth.

      Vetting potential sources of services that are themselves intended to do other than what is advertised is pointless. In context of what seems to be the true aim of this very rogue administration, identifying and using the least competent players would make far more sense.

      • I agree with you. This malfeasance is by design. These people are clever in an evil and corrupt way. Every move they make is to some dishonest design.

    • On reflection, maybe what was created is a slush fund and the money will be spent but not on the Sandy folks....
