This may sound like Abbott & Costello doing their famous “Who’s On First” routine, but it’s not. No, it’s actually Colorado Rep. Cory Gardner grilling EPA Assistant Administrator Mathy Stanislaus.
This truly remarkable exchange took place during an Environment and the Economy Subcommittee hearing. You will not believe what you are about to hear. Gardner certainly couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
That hopey changey thing was bad enough. Now Mr. Stanislaus introduces that Mathy thing.

Now consider the theoretical assumptions being used within the economic model under discussion...ummm.
No mention of jobs in this 1997 EPA Exposure factors handbook either but there are assumptions regarding the impact of assumed levels of pollution on the general population (including children eating dirt) which no doubt leads to an estimate of costs of mitigating the assumed adverse effects of pollution on human life and well being. Just how long is your piece of string?

My God, what a clown, barry and company found a real winner in this one. It is no wonder the messiah barry wants to have the internet kill switch. That way he can hide the communist fools that he has put in charge. I agree the EPA needs to go. That would be a starting to point in reducing the federal budget not to mention getting rid of the non producers who can’t even keep their lies and stories straight.

And we would be laughing, except for the fact that he has a salary as fat as his head, numerous expensive benefits, a nice car is most likely provided, a healthy travel stipend to go on "fact finding" expeditions, and much more. All provided straight out of our pockets.
Could there possibly be a better example of what is wrong with Washington, D.C.? In any private company in America, this man would be fired immediately. In Washington, he'll suck resources and salary until the day he retires with consistent raises and bountiful fringe benefits.

Probably, but it would not tell us much more than this video did.
We can safely say that this person can not even concieve of producing an actual product or service. It is completely outside of his reality. It would be like asking a person who was born blind to describe the color red.
This illustrates that in DC, most of the people are doing "busywork" - it's analysis for the sake of analysis, studies for the sake of studies, reports for the sake of reports - not to actually find anything out or come to any conclusions.
And the scariest thing is that you KNOW this person walked out of that room totally befuddled as to why this congressman was hounding him.
Okay, maybe that's not as scary as knowing there are hundreds of thousands, or millions, just like him (except most are not as smart, since he rose to a pretty high position), in DC, in your state capital, in your county seat, and in your city hall.
There was a joke email going around (and a fax before that), about a law that was enated, called the "Americans With No Abilities Act". Well, it's not a joke. Unfortunately, it's alive and well and in practice in DC.
