Greens were soooo confident that they had finally come up with a winning argument when they said the world was running out of oil and wind power was the answer. Damn it. Now it looks like the world’s running out of wind, too.

The Telegraph UK tells about the latest ill winds blowing for the green movement:
According to government figures, 13 of the past 16 months have been calmer than normal – while 2010 was the “stillest” year of the past decade.
Meteorologists believe that changes to the Atlantic jet stream could alter the pattern of winds over the next 40 years and leave much of the nation’s growing army of power-generating turbines becalmed…
Last year, wind speeds over the UK averaged 7.8 knots (8.9mph), a fall of 20 per cent on 2008, and well below the mean for this century, which stands at 9.1 knots (10.5mph)…
Meteorologists have found that the position of the jet stream has been influenced by the lower levels of activity on the Sun.
The sun? The sun? What kind of poppycock is that? What could the sun possibly have to do with the earth’s climate?
Damn deniers.

And yet, there is a never-ending supply of dumb-ass in this country. Talk about an endlessly renewable resource. Of course, the only ones to harness that energy are hucksters (Anthony Sullivan, Oprah, Dick Morris, etc.) and politicians.
LOL!
We have wind turbines in Texas and they provide a fair amount of power, since we have a lot of wind in west Texas where they are located. But now some of the greenies are saying we can't use turbines, because they interfere with avian flight patterns. I don't know. Texas has had windmills for maybe 250 years, and we have a lot of birds. . . .
What they need to do is construct these wind mills all around Washington, DC, that's where all the hot air and wind is.
In other words, wind is a myth, it's politicians that blow.
Precisely!
When the sun throttles back up in about 10 years, the abandoned wind farms will need maintenance and be blown apart by the increasing winds.
1+1=POTATO.
Can anyone name on of these goof ball green energy programs that works at even an F level of 50% of promised output? How about one that works at 30% of advertised output?
Future historians are going to wonder if there was some chemical agent in the water that made the people of the early 21st century completely lose their ability to logically reason.
Oh, so now we're running out of wind. When did the Obama Administration impose a moratorium on political rhetoric?
Also, may I add to my prior comment that I think windmills are the new crucifix for the green gospel?
