My Dad was the youngest of 9 kids in a piss poor state (Mississippi.) There were only 4 people in his graduating classfrom high school. He had hands on experience, but no special training. He delivered for the Post Office for a while, and worked on cars. water pumps and milking machines. WWII comes along, and he leaves home comes to San Antonio and challenges into the Officer Training school at Randolf AFB. He managed to stay in as a reserve officer, slowly worked his way up, sometimes biting his tongue and swallowing his pride when dealing with commanders who were vastly dumber than he. He helped build Cheyenne Mountain, working on the contrancts and negotiating pricing. He retired at 46 after 23 years in the Air force. He came up from nothing. No money. No fancy education, no connections. But he made a life for himself, his family and helped a lot of others along the way. He didn't get rank because of color Ior lackthereof) he got it by working his ass off. I suspect that today, ANY minority could do the same. Maybe not in 1940, or even in 1950"s. But now? If you aren't progressing, you aren't really trying.
I read it and someone tell me just what the hell it suppose to prove? If you spent all your time bitching and moaning about what color you are, you're going to end up being a worthless piece of crap. Put on your big boy or big girl pants and get off your ass, get a job, and live a real life, not one that either tells you how bad you are because of some supposed injustices of your ancestors, or makes you the victim every stinking day. I think these people would really feel less guilt if they took all their money and possessions and gave it all to "less privileged people." When I worked for the federal government I was turned down for two positions I had applied for. They told me that if I was a minority I could get it easily because I was more than qualified, but they had enough caucasians...
So, no, I'm not seeing this whole white privilege thing.
Many years ago I applied for a job in the Post Office. I took the test and scored in the 98 percentile. Added to that, I had a 5 point Veteran's Preference. I didn't get the job because there were minority hiring quotas.
Yep, I feel privileged. Where else can you score OVER 100 on a test and fail?
In my early years, I tried to be a firefighter, then a railroad engineer. In the late 70's, as a white male, it wasn't happening. The Operating Engineers Apprentice Program took your aptitude test scores, identified by numbers instead of names, and picked the highest scoring individuals to bring into the program. The government tried and failed to get them to discriminate.

I am not saying that the research that says that blacks have lower intelligence is correct, but I do know that it is a perfect example of the reality of the PC world. Who cares if they are? Just like everyone else, there are some really super-smart people who are black and some really STUPID white people.
But God forbid anyone actually say this - they will lose their job, their funding, etc. Remember the researcher from Harvard who published his findings about 15 years ago? No? That's because he was ERASED in every way, for daring to make his research public. How about the guy who discovered DNA and won the peace prize. Anyone remember him saying that all the research shows that Africans are not as intelligent? Nope - guess not.
The truth is that there are biological differences and until and unless we address them head on, we are screwed. IF blacks are overall less intelligent than whites, then we need to approach education differently. THIS is how we fix it - not by blaming white people for being "lucky". And we won't know for sure IF blacks are statistically lower in intelligence if we cant do unbiased research and publish honest results.
We are being dragged down by the lowest common denominator theory. Our schools are staffed by stupid people, our government and industry is staffed by stupid people, and they are making sure that our children, and adults, get stupider and stupider.

To be more specific, white, leftist, politicians, who refuse to allow them to either succeed or fail on their own. They think so little of them that they insist they need the help of the nanny state in order to survive. They continually treat them like infants and toddlers, refusing to allow them to "grow up" and become adults, and when they do break out of the welfare trap, they are ridiculed as Uncle Toms.
There is none so racist as the ones who claim to be helping the minority.
I think the leftist BLACK politicians have quite a big hand in it as well.
It's almost understandable if some stodgy old white Kennedy-esque dude thinks that "the poor blacks need handouts because they are incapable or incompetent". These guys have lived in their Ivory towers forever, and they believe that the poor are inferior. They don't have real guilt because of it. They understand that the handouts and freebies are payola for the black vote.
But the BLACKS who sell out their own people are disgusting. And if you look hard enough it ALWAYS gets them personally enriched. So not only do they reinforce the idea that blacks are inferior and need handouts, they personally get richer and fatter because of it. Despicable. They are like the overseers from slave days - willing to whip and kill their own brothers, in exchange for a little more "privilege" from the master. It's sickening.
