World Health Organization suffers because too few people are dying of swine flu

If the Swine Flu scam doesn't work, the World Health Organization will try more creative fundraising techniques

It’s panic time at the World Health Organization. Avian flu flopped. And SARS generated more headlines than deaths. WHO wants a pandemic. It needs a pandemic. So it got a pandemic even if it’s a phony one.

But what’s a blood-sucking bureaucracy supposed to do when its funding depends on fear and their best and brightest hopes for human death sputter out?

Michael Fumento explains:

In 2005 (WHO) rewrote the definition of “influenza pandemic,” which formerly required “enormous numbers of deaths and illness.” Under its new definition, a handful of cases and zero deaths can nonetheless constitute a “pandemic.” And that’s pretty much what we’ve seen. The term “influenza pandemic” has simply lost any truly useful meaning.

Thanks, WHO, for putting politics and self-interest above the interests of public health.

“WHO lied. No one died.”

More bumper sticker material from the day’s real news.

  • C'mon guys and gals. I get it, it's not as much as a threat as it has been made to be and you're definitely right if you think the news media dropped the ball when it came time to report what is happening and give people the information they need to properly deal with this emerging issue.

All that said what would we be doing if this flu was out of hand and killing more people than the seasonal flu? We'd be jumping on the same people for not being prepared enough which is what they are doing. Writers like Fumento are not your friend and are no better than the news media that is dubious at best. In that same article that's quoted above, he mentions the head of the WHO being smug as she speaks to the level of preparedness that the WHO is at. That's out and out brutal perception on his part. Next, this douche bag and he is a douche bag, goes on to throw in a line about SARS and AIDS being overblown. Maybe, but I think we can all agree that unnecessary deaths occur and the world was definitely not ready to handle either disease.

Some deaths is too many. People have died from this flu as they have other diseases the WHO and health professionals everywhere will not prepared for. Attacking them as they look out for us is ridiculous and quite frankly retarded. It's not a perfect system by any means but when I wanted info that I needed and wasn't getting from our media, their info helped considerably and continues to.

If you want to attack folks for the continuing deaths that occur every year from the regular flu; why not look into that? That actually might be worth investing some time into instead if blissfully following clowns like Michael Fumento.
