YOU could be fueling the world’s future! In Durham, England, corpses will soon be used to generate electricity. “A crematorium is installing turbines in its burners that will convert waste heat from the combustion of each corpse into as much as 150 kilowatt-hours of juice — enough to power 1,500 televisions for an hour.” Burning our earthly remains so our survivors can watch Obama talk for an hour on TV? Hey! Obamacare, the death panels, the harassment of oil and gas production, it’s all becoming hideously clear now…

The libs think too many people are overburdening Mother Earth. They think the elderly, the weak, the sick and the handicapped are burdens on society because of health care costs. They're constantly looking for ways to rationalize the evil of abortion into an apparent good. They're constantly looking for new, efficient forms of energy. You do the math.
I Ihad told m children to dump me on the East Texas farm where they just bury you-no embalming, no casket, just hole in the ground and done. But this might be an intersting alternative! After I die, my body will be so much trash, so to burn it for energy sounds fine to me!
Powering TVs, huh? So the perversion of society can come full circle if we use aborted babies to fuel TVs that broadcast shows about the delights of irresponsible sex. Brilliant!
This idea will never get off the ground. By the time an environmental impact study is done, the decision made on what kind of filters must be installed on the smoke stacks, how to regulate the temperature at which the body must be cooked, and millions of dollars wasted on all the above, the clowns from the Westboro Baptist Church will show up to protest the entire operation.
The crematorium ovens are already being used, and the pollution they create is already going out the chimney, but I can see the wackos wanting to get involved anyway, just to jack up the cost of creating the energy.
Only if its a soldier's cremation. *insert anger here*
Or gays
Wow! We're only 20 years away from real solient Green!
Does anyone else find the term "green" in Solient Green, and "Green" energies alittle non-coincidental, if not completely creepy?
Ok, we have all heard/seen this...

...I had to.
Morbid as it is, it's a rather cool concept. But what comes after that? A portion of one's ashes formed into an energy bar for those on-the-go? Euell Gibbons would have made the ultimate trail mix.
Sort of reminds me of a book from a Science Fiction writer named Harry Harrison called 'Make Way, make Way". It was the basis for the movie Solient Green.
Once I kick the bucket, I don't give a **** what happens. If I get turned into energy, that's fine. They can use my body for energy. I'm not using it anymore.
However, I will be EXTREMELY pissed if the gooberment taxes my death. I'll come back in the next life as a squirrel and run right up Obama's pant leg.
I've got no problem with this. There will be a catch though. In order to recover the expense of installing this little bit o' green technology, Granny will have to fork over a little "carbon tax" to get toasted at this place. I'm also willing to bet their estimate on power generated per corpse is a tad high. Maybe 200 tvs, tops. They're figuring using btus generated by the oven, not the corpse burning. Recovering that power and directing it to the turbines won't be efficient as they dream it will be.
