OK, so maybe the name Barack didn’t come up in the survey. But we’re willing to bet that it will soon rocket to the top of the “Boy, we wish we hadn’t done that” list.
The New York Daily News reports the negative nomenclature news:
One in five parents reports having second thoughts on the name they so carefully chose for their baby, a study in Britain found.
Many of the 3,000 parents surveyed said they wish they’d picked a less popular name, while one in 10 say they chose a quirky moniker only to have the novelty quickly wear off.
That could be because 15 percent of parents say their baby’s name has sparked amusement from friends and relatives – and one in five have felt scorn from a stranger. Ouch.
“Today’s baby name trends move very quickly, so names that seem relatively unusual and quirky can quickly become mainstream and common in the classroom,” Faye Mingo of the parenting club Bounty, which sponsored the survey, told The Sun.
So far, there are no reports of anyone naming their children after Joe Biden.

PLEASE! stop naming ur kids Carlos, or Maria. those names should be banned.
im glad i have a somewhat rare name, Axel... sadly i have a typical hispanic last name, Garcia lol
Interesting... never heard of a hispanic guy with a first name of Axel. Is there a story behind that? Just curious.
Shortly after the god damned ones committed the terror attacks on the WTC and Pentagon, I knew we'd have a bunch of new kids named Taliban, Alkyda, Atta and every other thing they could think of with the low power brain activity used to make silly decisions like that. Now I've read about some poor 8 year old kid saddled with Jihad as his moniker. He died in some parental drug deal gone bad or something akin to that.
As stupid as any list of trendy names people give their newborns, they still don't beat the fact that Prince legally changed his name to an unpronouncable symbol. The man is an amazing talent, but that was moronic.
As soon as he started reading about himself being referred to as 'Tafkap' he changed it back. Tafkap didn't sit right with the backless pants one. Brilliantly talented (tho I don't like any of his music) but overwhelmed by hizzown bad seff, his vanity will catapult him into the Whitehouse when he chooses to run. No.... no.. no. I meant his vanity made him change his name back to Prince. Egad man, imagine - President Prince Rogers Nelson, the artist formerly known as tafkap.
Sounds better than BHO...
Not to mention listening to him play guitar is much better then listening to Obama drone on & on & on & on...He is a little weird, but I respect his talent.
Barack.....sounds like the noise I make when I burp.
hmmm, these idiot parents are just now figuring this out? They never ever wondered about it before with any other name they ever heard? Like some recruiter at proctor & gamble isnt already returning all the resumes from the takesha and tashawn demographic to the bottom of the pile. Please, somebody revoke their 6th grade diploma. uuuggghhh. and these people are allowed to vote? I await the return of voter testing and poll taxes. If it wouldnt be taxation without representation I'd vote to raise the voting age to at least after they have paid taxes for 5 years, so let's say around 27? then again, why dont we do away with most of the taxes to get around that pesky rule.
How fitting. The majority of the American electorate now regrets naming their president Barack.
This is nonsense! I've never once regretted naming my son Prince Michael Jackson George Foreman III.
Actually, I'm glad I named my daughter Shamiqua Michelle Barak Washington. It will look so nice on a resume.
I didn't know Burger King require resumes...
Epic fail, on that name...
You be makin fun 'o my chile???
Wait till I tell her daddy (at least I think he be de 1) Shaquille Kareem Tyrone Abdul Smif!
LOL!!!
