40 Al-Qaeda terrorists killed by their own Black Plague biological weapon

Sad, sad news from Algeria. Forty al-Qaeda terrorists died slow, painful deaths earlier this month when they were infected by the black plague they were trying to turn into a biological weapon.

The Telegraph UK has the ironic, bubonic news:

It was initially believed that they could have caught the disease through fleas on rats attracted by poor living conditions in their forest hideout.

But there are now claims the cell was developing the disease as a weapon to use against western cities.

Experts said that the group was developing chemical and biological weapons.

Dr Igor Khrupinov, a biological weapons expert at Georgia University, told The Sun: “Al-Qaeda is known to experiment with biological weapons. And this group has direct communication with other cells around the world.

“Contagious diseases, like ebola and anthrax, occur in northern Africa. It makes sense that people are trying to use them against Western governments.”

It’s only fair, you might say, that people who want to live in the 14th century should die of a 14th century disease.

    I don't know dying of black plague is horrible, but again hard to feel bad when the motives of creating such a thing was to unleash on unsuspecting people. If you live by the sword you die by the sword as it should be.

    I cannot believe that people are hung up about the damn photo. The photo is the LEAST important part of this story.

    Question: Where do they go around picking up bubonic plague from? I mean these people are stupid. Playing around with diseases and radioactive materials and bombs like they are toys. I am sorry but it is hard not to think they don't deserve what they got.

      You are the FIRST and so far ONLY person in this thread to connect the "president" with the BLACK Plague. So, since YOU started it.....

      Kudos for connecting the dots and stating the source of America's problem. However, a small correction is in order. It's not Black Plague but Half-Cracker™ Plague being spread by the Half-Cracker™ pretend-president from Kenya.

  • But no-one in the Middle east has weapons of mass destruction! While plague is treatable, it would tax resources enormously to have to treat hundreds , thousands of people all at the same time. And the usual categories may not survive (kids, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems).

    • Well even in the case where it is possible to fight it, the problem is that if massive amounts of people get it at the same time there may not be a stockpile of medication to give to all so it will cause massive amounts of new victims and deaths in a rapid amount of time before the US could find a way to stop it. That is why it is so scary.

    • umm, actually we DON'T have any super-drugs to fight the plague - people still die from it every year in the American Southwest (where it is carried on some desert mice). We have better drugs to fight the symptoms - which will help keep you alive if caught in time.

      Or at least so is my understanding from several friends who live in the area and what I have read.

      • Don't know what the status is these days, but during my active duty time, if people were being deployed to areas where Black Plague was active they had to have Plague inoculations. So a vaccine presumably still exists.

  • It will happen. Primitive peoples will use primitive weapons that more tech-advantaged nations, such as the US and European countries, will no longer be prepared to deal with.

    And the photo still hasn't been changed. I can find one on the 'Net if you like. It'll take about 3 seconds.

  • The posted picture looks more like advanced necrosis due to frostbite. If it were bubonic plague, such blackened areas would be in the armpits, neck and groin. There are no lymph glands in the toes and foot to swell up and rot.

    Maybe whoever posted that photo of a blackened foot thought people wouldn't notice?

    Still, nice to see the whacko's wiping themselves out. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
