We’re thinking the Presidential motorcade may be rerouted in Buffalo, New York today. After all, his minions wouldn’t want the naked emperor to think that his subjects don’t love him.
The Buffalo News reports the billboard bruhaha:
The Niagara Thruway billboard seems to sum up what everyone in Buffalo wants to tell President Obama when he arrives Thursday:
“Dear Mr. President, I need a freakin job. Period.”
Jeff Baker, the frustrated former owner of a small manufacturing company, and his brother put up the sign even before they knew that Obama was headed here.
We know the current unemployment rate is 9.9%. But unsubstantiated reports indicated that the freakin unemployment rate may be substantially higher.

The only way to create jobs is to eliminate all taxes on American businesses and greatly increase taxes on imported goods. This will free up funds which can be used to expand American business and hire new workers. Higher import taxes will make American made goods more competitive in price with imports. It will also be a strong incentive for businesses that have gone overseas to return to America, thus creating millions of new job opportunities here for Americans.
Taxes on business are really taxes on those who purchase the goods and services the businesses provide. Companies simply add on their taxes as part of the price for the goods and services they sell. So, taxing business is really stupidly taxing ourselves in the final analysis. When we eliminate that loony tax on ourselves, there will be an abundance of employment opportunities available and lower prices on everything (except imports) as a result.
Congress alone can make those extremely beneficial changes to our tax system; however, Obama can and should strongly encourage them to do so. Republicans would applaud such legislation while Democrats would not easily be able to see its logic because it is contrary to their traditional economic worldview. Perhaps Obama can open their minds to economic sanity if he is capable of seeing it himself. I certainly hope so for the good of the entire nation.
I am still waiting for Obama to pay my gas, my mortgage and all my other bills from his "stash".
*sarcasm*
I don't know what their political situation is overall yes Obama is not going to give them a job, however he is not making it EASIER for businesses to stand on their own so they can create jobs. So he does bear some responsibility for the jobless numbers we are having now.
And " a house with a real kitchen "
Pity that these folk think the office of President of the US of A is responsible for jobs. Arrggg! Enough of the notion that the federal government is our nanny! We need less government, more liberty. Jobs will be created by the private sector - not the Federal Government. People everywhere should demand less government - more liberty!
These people are probably Democrats. They think it's the government's duty to find them jobs. Sure they're anti-Obama, but they're coming at him from the left.
So conservatives want Obama to keep his hands off the economy, let big business do its thing, and deregulate while at the same time somehow magically creating jobs for everyone? Republicans seem to want Obama to do little (lest he be stealing our freedoms!) but also do it all (create jobs, while spending nothing; among other things such as keeping every single illegal immigrant, as if its his personal responsibility to inspect every person, and terrorist out of the third largest country, by area, in the world). You've got to stay realistic. I apologize for all the preceding commas. I guess I got carried away.
Also, how did these unemployed brothers afford a billboard? Seems like a frivolous expenditure for someone in desperate need of a job.
the point is this way ->
<- thats where you are
if he STOPS the bullshit he is doing, than we can get our jobs back, how is that so hard to understand?
And Obama spending more money than anyone in this country will ever see is going to fix anything? If Obama wants to show he cares, instead of taking the typical 'liberal' stance, he should dive into his own deep pockets and pony up.
Stealing from Peter to pay Paul isn't being liberal, it's a damn thief.
Hey...where's my wallet.
And that clip is the exact reason why this site exists. Everything was going o.k., then BOOM, we have to spin this so that our Lord and Savior doesn't look so bad. People are getting more interviews? How the f**k do they know that? The job market MAY be turning the corner? Un-freakin' believable. I would love to be a fly on the wall in some of these "news" meetings. Did anyone else catch a little sarcasm in the woman's voice when she said that the timing of the billboard and the President's visit were coincidental? I kept waiting for the "pfft". Or am I blowing this way out of proportion?
I remember that President Obama recently gave the commencement address at Hampton University. He told graduates there are good jobs out there if they’re willing to work. But then Obama does try to begin his speeches with a joke.
We need a new freaking president. 2012 can't get here fast enough.
We need a new congress first...November 2010... that will help slow down the damage until 2012.
