Rational debate featured at Arizona illegal alien rally

Arizona nazi sign

And by “rational debate”, we mean irrational insults, needless name calling and, of course, unseemly signage. And hard as this may be to believe – SARCASM ALERT – it came from the left.

Fortunately, as Rasmussen reveals, it worked about as well as the you might have expected:

Following weekend protests against the new Arizona law cracking down on illegal immigration, support for the Arizona policy remains unchanged.

However, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 25% have a favorable view of those who marched and protested for immigrant rights in major cities. Fifty percent (50%) hold an unfavorable opinion and another 26% are not sure.

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of voters still favor legislation like Arizona’s that authorizes local police to stop and verify the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant. Thirty-two percent (32%) oppose such a law. Those figures are virtually unchanged from a week ago.

Rasmussen is obviously a Nazi, too.

  • here in America the attitude that is fed to us is that outside of America there live lesser people. "F--- them, let them fend for themselves." No, F--- you, they are you. No matter how much you want to dye your hair blonde and put fake eyes in, or follow an anorexic standard of beauty, or no matter how many diamonds you buy from people who exploit your own brutally to get them, no matter what kind of car you drive or what kind of fancy clothes you put on, you will never be them. They're always gonna look at you as nothing but a little monkey. I'd rather be proud of what I am, rather than desperately trying to be something I'm really not, just to fit in. And whether we want to accept it or not, that's what this culture or lack of culture is feeding us.

    • But, Manny.....? I'm not blonde, certainly not anorexic, my eyes are real, actually the ones I was born with. I don't own a single diamond, don't have any use for them. I buy much of my clothing from thrift stores, and am complimented on my wardrobe often. My Ford pickup would take offense at being called a fancy car. I do, however, look at you as a stupid little monkey, but it's because of your words, not anything to do with whatever color your skin might be.

  • what i just have posted are facts.. look them up yourself...before blindly following what the conservative or any party for that matter say, educate yourself and learn the truth behind the government lies and history manipulation..

  • Mrs Horrocks,

Free ride... so your saying that when a student that is an American citizen, and gets free aid from the government, or the when a citizen applies for government help (is mandatory to be legal), or programs specifically made for citizen are not free rides...

the fact is that Since undocumented workers have only fake numbers, they'll never be able to collect the benefits these taxes are meant to pay for. Last year, the revenues from these fake numbers — that the Social Security administration stashes in the "earnings suspense file" — added up to 10 percent of the Social Security surplus. The file is growing, on average, by more than $50 billion a year.
The non-partisan National Research Council found that when the taxes paid by the children of low-skilled immigrant families most of whom are illegal — are factored in, they contribute on average $80,000 more to federal coffers than they consume.
The cost of undocumented aliens is an issue that immigrant bashers have created to whip up indignation against people they don't want here in the first place. With the Senate promising to revisit the stalled immigration bill, politicians ought to set the record straight: Illegals are not milking the government. If anything, it is the other way around.

    • "There are lies, damned lies, and statistics." Mark Twain

You can play with numbers all you want, but the fact is that they are in this country illegally. The discussion shouldn't go any further than that...

And btw...calling an illegal alien an undocumented immigrant is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist...

  • People don't understand that all the immigrants want is a better life for themselves and their families. Yes some immigrants have been convicted of crimes and i totally think that they should be deported if they've done serious crimes like robbery or murder, but it doesn't mean that they are ALL criminals. They come here just to live better. Unless you've been to their country you will understand what kind of conditions they live in..they're pretty harsh in some places and i completely understand why they would want to get away from that. And everyone always says "Oh, well if they always wear the mexican flag and love their country so much then why don't they just go back?" Yes, you got a point there. But like I said the living conditions are just too bad too tolerate. And something really important that alot of people don't know about mexicans or just Latinos themselves, is that we were raised to have pride in who we are and where we came from..no matter what the circumstances. WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS AND CHILDREN OF GOD AND NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE THAT.

    • Raquel, let me type this really slow, so you understand. Illegal. It is a word, it has meaning. Do you understand the meaning of the word? It is the opposite of legal. If you do something that is not legal, or illegal, as in, it is against the law, that makes you a criminal, by definition. Therefore, EVERY person that crosses our border without going through the proper immigration procedure, is by definition, a criminal. Arizona didn't write that law, it is Federal law. Written and passed by a duly seated Congress, signed by a President, at some point in time. The Federal government at this time refuses to enforce the Federal law. Arizona, tired of being overrun by criminals, has decided to do it for them. Shouldn't be a problem.

Now, about those conditions that exist in Mexico, maybe if the Mexican government weren't even more corrupt than our own, the conditions wouldn't be so bad. The living conditions in Mexico are not Arizona's problem. Nor are they California's, or anyone else in this country. They are Mexico's problem. They could be fixed if the government would allow the people the freedom to fix them. Until then, there should be armed soldiers patrolling every foot of the border, and everyone who hires an illegal alien should do jail time. Quit your liberal whining and hand wringing.

  • Oh wow! Arizonians are the new Nazis? Who knew? So Mexicans will be led off to the ovens soon, will they? Oh goody, I love Mexican food!

    (tongue planted firmly in cheek)

  • Bring it on Chuck. We kicked your slave owning a%$ before, we will do it again. But this time we wont stop till we push you into the gulf.

    • But I'm a Yank... who, coincidentally, never owned a slave. I'm confused by your post, jon.

  • Don't look me in the eye and say you are an "illegal alien" but you are not a criminal! The United States of America owes them NOTHING! There is no such thing as a free ride!@
