Oh, how times have changed. Barack Obama, who used to fill stadiums with charged-up college students, is now about as popular on campus as a herpes outbreak.
The New York Daily News has the details:
College students’ support for the President is waning — a worrying sign for Democrats who are trying to re-energize young voters before the midterm elections, which are just a couple weeks away. Just 44% approve of the job Obama is doing, while 27% said they are unhappy with his job performance, according to a new Associated Press-mtvU poll.
That’s a significant dip from the 60% who gave the president high marks in a May 2009 poll. Only 15% of college goers had a negative opinion of him back then.
The education of Barack Obama has seen his GPA go into a steady decline. His latest report card shows a surprisingly low C in Public Speaking 401. A C- in Introduction to Golf. A D+ in Geography (he blew the final by answering “57” to the question “How many states are there?”). And, of course, an F in Economics 101.

The bloom is definitely off the rose.
And Obama is shrieking.
Just imagine the sounds he'll be making on November 3.
"now about as popular on campus as a herpes outbreak."
Herpes - the "gift" that keeps on giving.
Obama - the "booby-prize" that keeps on taking.
Barak can machine gun people who disagree with him. That will get him on T-Shirts like Che.
Too many people would shoot back, & that's why the left hates the 2nd Amendment. Getting rid of the guns would make things so much easier for the left.
What has happened, is these dummies who voted for barrry can't get summer jobs, and they can't afford to keep their cars, and now they have no way to go back to school, now they can't get to class from their off-campus apartments-and many just don't get aid any more.
It is funny, and is also great that what used to take until kids were out of college and paying taxes, is now happening from freshman year on-kids changing from idealists to realists, with the help of the comrade emperor.
I wonder if it is not the fear of actually having to face the real world after graduation that does not cause "the kids" to grow up. Democrats speak to the leeches of society whether they leech off of taxpayers or mom and dad makes little difference.
Long time ago, I remember the kids during the '76 election beating me up because I was the only kid who thought that Carter sucked, and that Ford was a better (but not the best) choice. Then they went home, and laughed to their parents about whupping the the geeky kid who said that Teacher was wrong, and voting democrat was a stupid thing for a farm kid to do.
The next day, *all* of them were chanting Ford slogans. Apparently, their parents realized that it was time to do a little de-programming.
I think this is exactly what happened here. When mommy and daddy finally take an interest in Junior's political leanings, you get results, especially if it turns out that Junior has forgotten who is picking up the tab for their college education.
In all seriousness, though, I have little respect for parents who wait until *after* the cow has left the barn to start thinking about closing gates. A little attention to what their kids were doing in college would have let the air out of Barry's tires a *long* time ago.
I agree and even before that of course starting as young as middle school. There was a documentary of a disgusting teacher putting a child down for prefering McCain (again a better choice COMPARED to Obama). If I was around that b*tch I would have smacked her. It is IMPORTANT to ALWAYS be on top of the child IN A LOVING AND NURTURING BUT FIRM manner. Leaving the kids to their own devices has given us liberals *shudders*.
Why do you think the left is so against home school education? It takes away their propaganda mills.
Out where I live, there are very few schools I'd want my kids to attend...if i had kids. I am considering moving somewhere in the midwest just for my kid's education, to get away from the BS so many public schools seem to shovel on children.
Even in the midwest it blows. The scariest part is that these teachers actually *believe* the stuff their union bosses tell them. I would not keep my kids out of school -- but I would listen to someone who makes sense at night like Rush, Levin, or someone instead of turning on the idiot box. The inevitable conversations will filter out the propaganda. When the kid repeats what they hear at home at school, the lib hate machine will engage, and then they can learn how to deal with that.
The problem with the lib hate machine is that it brooks absolutely *no* dissent. I can't think of a more perfect way to point out the contrast in a lasting manner. That said, you have to watch carefully, so the teachers don't pick on your kid, which means you have to teach them to out-think their teachers. By the time your kid graduates, I can guarantee that they will never be a liberal. Kids have a keen eye for injustice and hypocrisy, and seeing how it goes down in school is very instructive for when they go to college.
130% of College students voted for Obama with the help of the SEIU at campuses like University of California at Santa Barbara, and who knows how many others. If only 110% vote for Him in 2012 he could retain power over His subjects for a good 8 - 10 years...
