I actually support personal and economic freedom, and that’s where the free market is derived from. That is the basis in which this country was founded. “Land of the free”, right? Government is not what makes this country great…it is us: free sovereign individuals making our own decisions and living with the consequences (as opposed to having big daddy government telling us what to do). We as individuals do not exist to serve any politician or any government. I don’t have the power to tell anyone else what they can or cannot do; I don’t have the power to deny anyone else their earnings, or to take away their property in order to redistribute it to someone else just because of some arbitrary definition of “fairness”. Who exactly decides what is “fair”?
Obama and all the people who think like him in DC on the other hand, have that power, and more importantly, they WANT that power. They actually seek to use government power to prop up some people at the expense of others, in order to achieve THEIR definition of “fairness.” They seek to use that unique power that only government has: the power to use deadly force, or even the threat of force, to accomplish certain goals. Because that is how laws (constitutional or not) are ultimately enforced: at the point of a government gun. Just try not paying your taxes and see what happens. If I or you or any other private citizen were to do that, we would be put in jail for robbery. Just listen to what they are really saying, and observe what they have been doing. And listening to somebody like him talking like that, from the position he is in right now, scares the hell out of me. This is not the first time he makes some unscripted comment like that, and anyone who’s been paying attention has witnessed that Obama is just but the latest politician who uses the Constitution as toilet paper and does not recognize any limits on his power set forth by that Constitution.
I’m not a millionaire, or a CEO…I don’t even make above $250K, which is his arbitrary definition of “rich”…but I understand that if they can do it to other people, then they can do it to any one of us. That is not being ignorant, I’m just very acutely aware of what governments can do when they get out of control. There are many examples throughout history that point out this little fact.
And if socialism and Marxism are so great, then why were so many East Germans willing to risk getting shot by trying to cross into West Berlin during the Cold War? And why are so many Cubans willing to risk getting through shark-infested waters on a small boat to try to make it to Florida?
I do not begrudge his earnings from his book…He wrote it, he found somebody who would publish it and print thousands of copies (in exchange for a share of the profits)…Some people CHOSE to buy the book that he wrote, they weren’t FORCED to buy it. See? That’s the free market at work.

And, for the record, Obama's revenue last year came from book sales. Which hardly seems relevant when compared to the points he was trying to address.
What anyone earns through exchange of goods and services in the free market (what's left of it) is none of his damn business. This is still America.

So... who EXACTLY is he to determine who makes enough money and when at some point one has gathered enough? Who is he to say when and what is enough?
I will want somene who is truly above me in perfection and worthiness to tell me this information, not someone like him. He has no moral ground to determine these things. He doesn't know each individual person, how much time and effort and sacrifice it took to get to the level they got nor what their goals and plans are, not just for themselves, but for others in or around their lives.
That's just one of the never ending problems with the thieving thugs on the left...THEY want to determine how much money is "enough" for YOU, but not for themselves. It's a given that the amount will always decline until everyone is under their jackboots.
....so "what" exactly would be above Barry's pay grade?!
