California Governor Jerry Brown has cancer removed from nose, allows cancer in state to continue growing
It’s been said that Jerry Brown was born with a nose for politics. Maybe so, but he has a little less of that nose today.
CBS Sacramento has the proboscis particulars:
Gov. Jerry Brown has undergone surgery to remove a cancerous growth on his nose, his office said Saturday.
Brown nose: They're still ignoring the real cancer in the state of California
The governor’s office said in a statement that Brown, 73, had the procedure under local anesthetic Friday, after tests revealed the presence of basal cell carcinoma, a common, slow-growing form of skin cancer, on the right side of his nose.
“All of the basal carcinoma cells were removed, but some reconstructive surgery to the nose was required as a result of the procedure,” his office said. “Governor Brown is at home and has continued to conduct state business today.”
They may have removed the cancer from Jerry Brown’s nose, but the cancer of socialism is still growing unchecked in the state of California. Everyone knows this ugly growth is killing the patient, but no one is willing to cut it off. In fact, Brown’s solution to the state’s budget crisis is – no surprise – more taxes.
This is one of those cases where the cause of death is known in advance and the obituary is written long before the patient actually dies.
In a way I feel sorry for you Californios. But the reality side of me says tough shit, your problems are your own fault. When Ronald Reagan was your governor California, if it were a country standing on its own, would have been the sixth richest country on our planet.
Look at your state now. Broke, with a multi-billion dollar state budget deficit, all because the majority in the state keep electing the same fools to your state House and Congress. You cannot put all the blame on your governor, he can only sign the bills that get to his desk. If he does not have the nuggets to veto all spending bills, cut state government costs, prove to the good citizens of California that he deserved their vote, then shame on you for electing this fool again.
And now you want us taxpayers from all the other states to bail you out? Tough tittie says the kitty, we have problems of our own and need our tax money for our own state, all the other 49 of us. Or is it 52, 57, whatever the Obummer thinks we have?
6-16-11 good lord jerry's nose looks just terrible. what the heck is going on?? he has enough dough and insurance to get this fixed. he just looks awful he really does. and shame on him for vetoing the state budget -- shame on you, jerry !!!
no state parks need to be closed if each californian just gave one dollar each.
come on, folks, we can do this !!!
How can you remove cancer from cancer? Just curious how they knew where to quit cutting........
Ah, recursion. Defined as itself.
Fortunately for Moonbeam, it appears unlikely that he'll get stuck in one of those lather, rinse, repeat loops you hear about.
I think the financial, social and cultural problems of California are terminal. The productive people continue to leave while the drones and leeches remain. Right now illegal aliens, welfare recipients and public employees are living off the infrastructure built by the middle class when California was a vital, growing, economic powerhouse of a state. Once that infrastructure is bled dry and ruined the state will collapse.
“Governor Brown is at home and has continued to conduct state business today.”
We'd be much better off if it had been more serious, and made him quite conducting state business for a while. Just putting off the inevitable, though.
Marxists never have useful ideas. It doesn't take any imagination to decide to raise taxes. The easiest way to enslave a person is to take their ability to provide for themselves away. Trap them in ignorant bliss, dumb them down, dispose of those who don't comply, don't challenge them to improve and in fact make them think they can't improve unless some government apparatchik signs their little yellow wish list, drug them into stupidity and make them think they have a constitutional right to be stoned 24/7, etc. Brown didn't drop a stones throw from his dad and the generational rot continues.
