Think of us as equal opportunity haters, because we hate the Canadian media, too. Here’s why.
Susan Cole, a Canadian communist columnist explains to Megyn Kelly on Fox News that it’s good to stop Ann Coulter’s potential hate speech by massing protesters and threatening physical violence.
According to Cole, the Canadians are simply trying to develop a “safe place to think and learn” and she doesn’t feel “Ann Coulter contributes to” such an environment. In other words, this safe place to think and learn does not include thinking and learning about conservative points of view.
So not only are Canadians suffering through nationalized health care, they have to deal with the freaking liberal media also.
Our condolences to our friends in the Great White North. And we apologize in advance if calling it “white” is interpreted as hate speech.

Feline. Please familiarize yourself with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Canadian Bill of Rights. What happened to Ann Coulter was an abomination and it made me very ashamed of being Canadian. However, I would highly recommend that our friends, the Yanks, watch the documentary Indoctrinate U.
wes in MT, you've got that right. Every liberal government sees the military as the first place to cut spending and pours more into it's propaganda operation known at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
However, where in the blazes did FoxNews find that dolt to speak on behalf of Canadians. Now that is truly insulting.

One of the reasons that Canada (and western europe) has been able fund the vast cradel to grave social net is that the huge U.S. defense budget - which represents americans unabashed love of freedom - has allowed every one of the western nations to cut defense spending to a bare minimum.
When a nation as large as Canada has a smaller air force than the Air Guard in California, something is wrong. I don't think there would be a shortage of proud canadians to fill the slots in a larger military, it's just that virtually every liberal government sees the military as the first place to cut spending so that they can buy more votes with more welfare programs.

glad you're proud of your "free healthcare". You ought to take a look at all the hidden taxes you pay just to have the "free" stuff. We plan on fighting the proposal of a GST (VAT) style tax here - not just the percentage rate as we did in Canada back when they introduced it in the early '90's. That's what happens when you put being "nice" and "reasonable" above being "free".
Arguement becomes not whether the overlords can screw you, but to what degree.

I would rather enjoy Ann Coulter (if such a thing is even possible) over the internet and not important if its a choice between living in Canada or living in the states.
I am proud of our nationalized health care, it's not perfect and there is room for improvement so what? My biggest horror story was I had to wait with a bad burn once because someone who'd just had a heart attack and another who couldn't breathe were seen to first. Meanwhile my "covered" friends in the states get to agonize over every form and bill.
And yes we do not have an absolute right to freedom of speech, at least we're upfront about it. We get a reasonable and I refuse to be upset about that. Reasonable isn't that horrible a state to aim for.
I would like to add how much I love when a minority of the majority get together and complain how persecuted they are in their lives. How anyone asking for the same rights they have is a deliberate attack that can only end in everyone being dragged off to a commune.
You obviously haven't been paying very close attention lately. The only freedom of choice that lefties believe in is the one that lets you kill an unborn child. Freedom of choice would have been to go find something else to do, that's what lefties tell everyone else, just change the channel.
What of the rights of the canadians who invited AC??? Or are they less equal than the radical table throwers who eventually pulled the fire alarm????

by students on the UO campus???? FWIW, opinions are like A- holes, everyone has one and it doesn't always mean that they are worth listening to or correct in your observations. That doesn't mean I would even think of having you shouted down or silenced just because I disagree with you
Yes, there is freedom of speech, there is another freedom as well, that is of CHOICE and that's exactly what the university in Canada exercised.
What the Hell was I thinking when I decided to post an opposing opinion on a clearly bias blog, with an 'Editor' who believes in freedom of speech, yet attacks those who exercise it with differing opinions.

Didn't know that you are required to declare what party you align with, maybe you should make that clear 'Editor', and while your at it......just make it simple, don't post those 'opinions' you disagree with so as not to put yourself in a position to go into attack mode!
AC was invited by canadians who wanted to hear her speak.
It was the bunch who had just previously invited Angela Davis(the black panther terrorist, I believe) who wanted to stifle free speech.
I think a huge number of canadians would embrace AC. Remember, Freedom of Speech is to protect minority and unpopolar views.
Bear in mind that this chilling of expression happened in the same country where a movie about the last president's assassination was given an award at the Toronto film festival.(I might be wrong but don't think so). Progressives(libs) only want diversity of ethnicity as a cover for their desire for homogeny of thought, which will lead to homogeny of skin tone as well - don't believe me - check out the racist roots of the progressive movement, margeret sanger in particular. These extreme, radical worldviews only take hold when opposing points of views are stifled. That's called indoctrination, much like what happens concerning homo-rights. Sorry if that offends, but it is the truth.
