There was a time when black Americans were routinely told to move to the back of the bus. But things are different under the Democrats. Now they’re thrown under the bus.
For some unknown reason, James Clyburn, the top ranking black Democrat in the House, seems to be taking the fall for the party’s failure in the midterm elections. How else can you explain his “promotion” from the number two position to the number three position?
Politico.com has the demotion details:
House Democrats have reached a deal to keep both Reps. Steny Hoyer and James Clyburn in the leadership, with Hoyer (D-Md.) serving as minority whip and Clyburn (D-S.C) taking a new, as-yet-still-undefined number three position.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calf.) who is seeking the minority leader’s job in the next Congress, reached an agreement with Clyburn on late Friday night, and Democratic leaders quickly announced the deal.
Clyburn’s title and responsibilities were not specified in the announcement from Pelosi’s office, and Democratic leadership aides scrambled to explain the deal to reporters.
No shit they announced it quickly. They had to do it while Clyburn was still basking in the warm glow of the party’s press release and before he figured out that he’d been screwed.

Because SOME blacks were fed the lie that Democrats/Liberals/Progressives are the party of the poor and neglected and Conservatives/Republicans (and so on) are the party or the group that wants to enslave minorities. It is amazing that it is the losers of the civil war that ended up rewriting history. Why that happened? Maybe because people (conservatives and the like) kind of stayed back for whatever reason (shame of winning perhaps?) and let the liberals and progressives have their way undeterred for so long to the point where their lies were all over the place from textbooks to those liberals being hired in great numbers at colleges and universities. That I think is the REAL reason why we are where we are. The progressives in both parties had their way because conservatives/moderates (and some libertarians) in both parties didn't stand up to the stupidity IN TIME when it would have killed the aberration in the bun. Had republicans (and conservatives and so on) not allowed progressives in their midst and had stood up to the nonsense from the very beginning and continued to court and elevate minorities as they were doing, I dont think a great number of minorities would be so blind to the truth.
When rats are stressed, they eat their young. Playing out live in the Democratic Party.
I just love it how they are creating all these "new" positions to either pretend they still have something going, or to accommodate towering egos.
Man, they look stupid when they do this. It's kind of sad in a way that has me wanting to crack open another beer and celebrate. Schadenfreude '10, anyone? Excellent vintage.

The look on Clyburn's face says it all, as well as Hoyer's and Pelosi's. Clyburn looks shell-shocked and is just realizing he got screwed; Hoyer looks sheepishly guilty for his duplicity in this maneuver and then there's Napalm Nancy...all a glow in her scorched earth, take-no-prisoners-I'm-the-boss BS.
Little do the libs realize, but hitching their wagon to Pelosi is the final nail in the coffin for them in 2012.
Nonsense! Democrats believe in affirmative action. Make your decisions based on race, nothing else matters. "Axe for it, and you shall receive!"
