The problem with recording an audio book version of your autobiography is that your own words might come back to haunt you. Kind of like John McCain’s just did.
J.D. Hayworth, McCain’s opponent in the Arizona Republican primary, took a snippet from Worth Fighting For and turned it into a TV commercial that John McCain must hate even more than he hates the North Vietnamese.
In Worth Fighting For, McCain admits that he was less than honest during the 2000 South Carolina primary. When presented with a choice between telling the truth and winning the election, McCain says, “I chose lying.” And Hayworth argues that McCain is now doing again.
Ouch.

Yeah, he has to be admired for his service, but I never liked him politically. I voted for Sarah, and unfortunately he was on the ticket. If he hadn't run such a shitty campaign we might have her for veep right now.

I also admire John McCain for the sacrifices he made for his country while in Vietnam, the torture he endured was brutal. That being said not every veteran is a great leader or has views I wish to support. JD Hayworth is right, McCain should have used the same energy going after Obama in 2008 as he does attacking Hayworth.
McCain has a 20-point lead over Hayworth in the latest primary polls, so what the hell are Arizonans drinking?
I certainly respect his military service but agree he should think about a different career line, like used cars. Its his (typical D.C. politics) that will trade the constitution for votes, illegals are draining Social Security, anchor babies are not covered by the 14th amendment but make wonderful voters while the parents stay in the U.S.A collecting SS and other free handouts, waiting for their case, tens of billions in California alone. In my state of Washington, and illegal gets a drivers license, all the free benefits and we the tax payers flip the bill. What ever happened to the "pay nothing in, get nothing out" again this is another example amongst hundreds that scream for term limits.
John McCain is a hero who suffered greatly for this country, and I voted for him for prez. But it's time he went into retirement gracefully. Perhaps take a job at the zoo caring for the rhinos.
