The leftwing blogosphere is atwitter about the fact that those bastards at Fox News lied by trying to pass off a violent protest in California as a violent protest in Madison, Wisconsin. IHateTheMedia.com even picked up a new troll who made repeated references to “the Fox News palm tree lie.”

Fox News is at it again! Here’s a clip form tonights O’Rielly show with reporter Mike Tobin. They are still lying and deceiving people! You’ve gotta see this. They spliced in a clip from some place else to make it seem as though there was a rowdy crowd in Madison Wisconsin. Look closely for the palm trees in the background (I have yet to see a palm tree in Madison). UNBELIEVABLE!! FOX NEWS LIES AGAIN!
So did Fox lie? Based on that clip, it sure look like it. Ahhh, but not so fast. Mediaite took a look at the whole story and reached a different conclusion.
While, in the 43-second clip that’s being linked to on YouTube, it does look like Fox News lied, but watching the entire segment for context makes it clear that they did not.
The segment in question occurred during The O’Reilly Factor as Bill O’Reilly was discussing the anger in the union protests. At the top of the piece, he rolled footage of a number of the “union thug” videos that have become so popular on Right Wing news sites in the past few weeks. O’Reilly clearly identified the videos as collectively coming from “all over the country.” … this B-roll footage was replayed again during the rest of the segment, including during an interview with Mike Tobin, Fox News’ reporter who’s been on the ground in Wisconsin.

Obviously, someone’s lying here. But it doesn’t appear to be Fox News.

tadcf makes a good point, justifying Fox news by using an opinion show is not wise. It's almost like saying Maddow or tingles is not biased at all.... Hahahaha.
The entire show centered on UNION THUGS and VIOLENCE, liberals won't see that on their networks they are showing all the tea party violence.. Oh wait, there was no arrests, nor any violence. No broken windows, no racist remarks, no trash left on monuments....Sorry.
Another thing the media is not mentioning... There are an awful lot of WHITE people at these protests in Madison. I only saw two or three "Sell outs" I think the Union thugs are extremely racist. They must be if you use the same brush on them as the media uses on the tea party. Come to think of it, the tea party had WAY more black folks than the unions had, I wonder why? is it that unions dont hire black folks?
They have black union members, but the management is predominately white.

To find the average I.Q. of a union mob first find the person with the lowest I.Q. Then divide that persons intelligence index by the number of people in the mob. 100 divided by 1000 equals .1 so it looks like you qualify to be the average union member.

I would say, one of the most common signs at these protests, besides Walker/Hitler/Dictator was something anti-Fox. I really just don't get that. You are protesting a cable network???
These union uprisings are a perfect example of Astro turfing. Big labor or big government bought and paid for these couch potatos to get off their lazy thug union asses and march in front of the big media cameras. Fox has caught them at it and they're pissed, plain and simple. Their money bags are being exposed and many of them, like George Soros, don't want the lime light. Keep it up Fox News, you're the only national media scalpel We The People have right now, to cut away the rot!
They surely don't show behind the scenes, like at the Chrysler plant where they pounded 40's and smoked blunts during lunch. It's the same there I'd guarantee.
