Can we call actress Cate Blanchett a Hollywood hypocrite? We think it’s a reasonable appellation, because while she may live in Australia, but her global warming hypocrisy reaches all the way to Tinseltown.
Blanchett’s latest purchase might make one think she doesn’t believe her own line of global warming hysteria:
The movie star-turned-eco warrior is believed to have recently bought a plot of land in Vanuatu, one of the countries hardest hit by global warming….
Blanchett is thought to have bought some waterfront property in or around the luxury area of Havannah Harbour during a visit last year…
Other sources said she bought property around Havannah Harbour, where the property market for international celebrities and other jetsetters is booming…
The Vanuatu travel and luxury magazine Pacifique breathlessly opined: “Cate Blanchett’s purchase in Havannah Harbour has everyone rethinking this tropical paradise.”
Far as we can tell, there are only two possible conclusions that can be drawn from this story:
1. Blanchett has made the worst real estate investment in history because her new purchase will soon be under water due to the global warming Blanchett rails against, or
2. Blanchett is just the latest in a long line of global warming hypocrites.
Seems clear to us.

THIRD possible conclusion: She talked up the global warming/rising ocean story to depress the price of the island real estate so she could buy at a cheaper price

These people know perfectly well what they're doing and saying. They know they're talking smack and gumming the airwaves...they're socialists! They know their s**t stinks, they can smell it themselves, they just want to usher in an order where they're in charge instead of the rest of us. Most of these folks were raised by Dr. Spock and have never had parental braking so they know no limits to behavior or thinking...they just do! They never think of the consequences of their actions because they intend no ill...not part of the original plan. Remember, their parents told them they can co no wrong...so they can do no wrong...they just can co no wrong...just ask them! She is certainly one of them!
Rememer the article here at IHTM where Cate Blanchett told the world that actors "can change gravity"? She probably has the same power regarding the oceans.

I don't know about changing gravity, but Cate is pretty good at regurgitating bullshit. That has to be a skill that can make her money in Hollywood.

She must have purchased 'rising sea level' offsets from AlGoreInc; when the ocean reclaims her property she won't get wet, or something. Meanwhile, Al buys another mansion well above the high tide line.
Here's something I've said in a few different places before: not only do I not believe in Warmingology, I don't believe the evangelists of Warmingology believe it either. Ya know why? I live near Cape Cod now, used to live right there. In the summer, the population approx. doubles with the influx of the ultra-rich elite limousine liberals -- you can tell by the bumper stickers on the backs of their Volvos and the Bahney Frank campaign signs in the yard -- not that the Cape isn't a pretty liberal place to begin with of course. Anyway, you take a drive along Shore Road in Chatham, where the multimillion-dollar waterfront estates crowd as thick as -well- as thick as multi-million dollar waterfront estates are allowed to crowd, or down some of the secluded back roads that aren't even paved (now THAT is a status symbol!) -- and see how many of those waterfront enclaves are being sold for pennies on the dollar because the politically-correcter-than-thou owners want to unload them before they are literally underwater. Actually, see how many are being sold for, say, 10% under tax assessment. Ya know how many? NONE.
It is still some of the priciest real estate on this sizzling planet that is not in the middle of Manhattan, Tokyo, or Hong Kong (and much more desireable!). Now really folks: if you sincerely believed that your summer retreat was going to be washed away in a few years -- and THAT IT WAS ALREADY TOO LATE! WE HAVE REACHED THE TIPPING POINT! THE POINT OF NO RETURN!!!1! -- wouldn't you be looking to unload it sooner than later? How come nobody is?
So anyway, if any of you limo-libs are reading this, and own one of those places to which I refer -- in Chatham or Harwichport preferably: Orleans and beyond are too far down -- I will RIGHT NOW make an offer to buy your property for 1/4 its current value. Hurry! THE POLAR BEARS ARE DYING!!1!
