Global warming creates strange, alien landscape on Lake Erie

This damn global warming is out of control. Al Gore said so.

More evidence of the horrors of global warming appeared just outside Cleveland last week as spray from Lake Erie turned a lighthouse into an eerie ice sculpture.

    • Nature can, and will, do anything it wants. When it gets tired of us, it can just wipe us out. No big deal. And the planet goes on, just like it always has.

      • Exactly. Giving in to hysteria and fear is useless and then wanting to implement massive amount of legislation, mandating people to "do with less" or scary "less children" ideas in order to stop what could very well be the inevitable is idiotic and arrogant to me. I say instead of giving into anxiety about what cannot be truly be controlled, why can't people just live their lives and deal with whatever comes...?

    • Sub freezing temperatures + high winds from the northwest = frozen lighthouse. As someone who lives near Lake Michigan I've seen similar happenings a number of times. The Great Lakes can be very stormy and ocean-like under the right conditions.

  • That was some awesome AGW. I've been there when there wasn't so much AGW and it looked a lot different...

  • Iced over light houses are conclusive proof of AGW.....unless the lighthouses are not frozen over in which case that is conclusive proof of AGW.

  • Neat. That area of North America was under two kilometres of global warming only 12,000 years ago, in some areas the earth's crust is still rebounding from the weight of ice. And Al Gore's move to the West coast.
