There are a lot of theories floating around about why a sitting president would lower himself to do an embarrassing daytime gabfest like The View.
Fox News explains it all in just seven words: “Desperate attempt to hold women voters.”
When asked why he chose that particular arena, the president joked, “I was trying to find a show that Michelle actually watched.” But it’s not just the First Lady who’s tuning in. According to Nielsen Media Research 79% of “The View”’s audience is female, a demographic that’s started to cool on the president.
Fox News/Opinion Dynamics polling shows Mr. Obama averaged a 59% approval rating among women in 2009, but seven months into 2010, that’s dipped 14 points to just 45%. That’s tough news for a party that is used to benefitting from the gender gap, a phenomenon political analyst Larry Sabato says surfaced in the 1980 presidential election. “It exists in almost all elections, ranging from five to eight percentage points,” according to Sabato.
We just read the other day that he’s also losing ground with Hispanics. So don’t be surprised if he shows up on a Telemundo telenovella, one of those Spanish nighttime soap operas.

Overall I feel that some women just got tired of waiting for their free gas and mortgage payments made by the government. Maybe I am hard on them, but he never got my support, so I don't know what would entice these women that voted for him to vote for him other than the appeal of free stuff. The free stuff is not forthcoming and it is getting harder for women in this economy especially if they are unmarried (etc), so the dip of favor in the women side is not surprising.
Just so you know... the name of the show is Gitanas not "Salome y Sebastian" those are just the names of the two main characters of the show. If this is being re-aired I got to wonder what is going on with (hispanic) soaps these days, they are recycling old shows now. This one is very old. It wasn't even that great. That girl was in Nacho Libre with Jack Black, in case someone wonders where they have seen her face before.
Side note: There is an ad with a very attractive young man and a not so attractive (in fact quite eww) moustached man hugging the attractive one wih the title "The Best Men's Resort in the World". I was laughing so hard at that, seeing that on a conservative slanted website just makes me so giggly.

Must be leftist women, I don't watch "The View". No interest and no time for it.
I work and even if I didn't, I can think of 100 things that I would rather do, even cleaning the toilet, than watch the View.
cleaning the toilet would most likely give you the best view of "the Spew" ... unfortunately, flushing will not make the harpies go away ...
