Sunday: The Ground Zero Mosque Imam brags about his voting record. Monday: The New York Post checks his voting record.
Not quite a New York minute, but close enough.
The Post has the damaging details:
The leader of the Ground Zero mosque, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, yesterday said he’s a loyal American, and cited his voting record to prove it.
The only problem is that, according to Board of Elections records, Rauf hasn’t voted since 2001. In fact, New Jersey records show that he’s no longer registered in his home state, The Post has learned.
“I vote in elections, I pay taxes, I pledge allegiance to the flag, and I am a Giants fan — I am glad they won yesterday,” Rauf quipped during a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations yesterday.
But New Jersey records show that Rauf, once a registered Democrat, voted last in November, 2001, when Jim McGreevey was elected governor.
Of course, he was a registered Democrat. We wouldn’t have guessed anything else.

The proposed "Cordoba House" overlooking the World Trade Center site
where a group of jihadists killed over 3000 Americans and destroyed
one of our most famous landmarks - is a test of the timidity,
passivity and historic ignorance of American elites. For example,
most of them don't understand that Cordoba House is a deliberately
insulting term. It refers to Cordoba , Spain the capital of Muslim
conquerors who symbolized their victory over the Christian Spaniards
by transforming a church there into the worlds third-largest mosque
complex.
Today, some of the Mosque's backers insist this term is being used
to "symbolize interfaith cooperation" when, in fact, every Islamist
in the world recognizes Cordoba as a symbol of Islamic conquest. It
is a sign of their contempt for Americans and their confidence in our
historic ignorance that they would deliberately insult us this way.
Those Islamists and their apologists who argue for "religious
toleration" are arrogantly dishonest. They ignore the fact that more
than 100 mosques already exist in New York City ... Meanwhile, there
are no churches or synagogues in all of Saudi Arabia. In fact no
Christian or Jew can even enter Mecca. And they lecture us about
tolerance.
"...I am a Giants fan--I'm glad they won yesterday. Yes, I'm a big fan of Willie Mays and Sal Maglie. After I vote, I'm going to the Polo Grounds to watch the Giants play the Brooklyn Dodgers. At a game I always sing the National Anthem and salute the flag, I know the names of all 57 states."

BTW, he's currently dropped out of sight - made too many "mis-statements" that were contradicted by other Muslims.
But at least he's a "good Democrat"--you know--the kind that doesn't vote...we need more of those... lots more. In fact, there's only one better kind of "good Democrat"...

The liberals are making it about Muslims when in fact its a mosque at the 9/11 sight we don't want.
Speak for yourself. I don't want Muslims there either, "moderate" or not. If it was up to me I'd build a fence made of electrified bacon around the thing. I would use renewable energy because the electric power can be generated from burning Korans.

I suppose technically it's not lying to say he votes in elections, since he did vote in at least one of them. This is probably another case where it depends on what your definition of "is" is.

Seriously, wouldn't you want to vote in elections, if nothing else, to preserve your own self-interests? I don't get it.
Since he is a registered Democrat and he's not voting while he's alive, you can be sure that that right will be exercised for him when he assumes room tempurature.
