Another day, another campaign promise broken. Are there still any liberals out there who believe a word that comes out of President Obama’s mouth? If so, why?
President Obama announced Monday that military trials will resume for detainees at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp, saying the tribunals are an “important tool in combating international terrorists.”
The president, who issued an executive order outlining the changes Monday afternoon, said Defense Secretary Robert Gates will rescind his January 2009 ban against bringing new charges against terror suspects in the military commissions.
Obama said in a statement that the decision was part of a plan to “broaden our ability to bring terrorists to justice.”
Obama vowed when he took office to close the detention facility at Guantanamo.
So when he holds trials at Gitmo, they are an “important tool in combating international terrorists.” But when George Bush held trials at Gitmo, they increased terrorism by inciting Muslims’ hatred for America.
Take another bow, President Obama. Take another bow.

Am I supposed to clap? He couldn't find countries that will take the dangerous terrorists so now he decides to do his job... great. He is so awesome. He is against something before he is for something. He is for something and then he changes his mind. He is a liberal after all. No surprise.
BTW, President Obama reminds me so much of Jimmy Carter that I have to recycle this old Carter-era joke with a name change: Why does Michelle have to be on top while she and the president have sex? Because all Barack can do is fawk up.

The bright side is that with every campaign promise he breaks he's ticking off another group of liberals who may not vote for him in 2012.
He was always mistaken about what he thought he could get away with. The military tribunals were held at Gitmo for a reason, we needed a place that was relatively diplomaticly neutral, this way the UN couldn't get too invlolved with our national business! Only the marxist-socialists in our media and government have been playing to the peanut gallery.
His mistake is that a growing majority of Americans are paying attention & are sick of his bullsh!t. Obama has Washington DC, the northeast, Hollywood, the Bay Area, some big rust belt cities, & the universities supporting him. Plus the ever shrinking MSM, that leaves the rest of America that pays taxes against him.
