Mike Huckabee, a former fat man himself, did not take kindly to Chris Matthews’ comments about Chris Christie being too fat to be President. Not kindly at all.
“If Governor Christie somehow decides he wants to lose weight, he can. I’m thinking that talk show host — not matter how much he wants to — can’t change the meanness and the callousness of his own character.
So I’d rather be in Governor Christie’s shoes — an effective governor doing a good job, proving that solid, conservative governing principles really do work even in a state like New Jersey than I can a person whose talk show probably gets about as many viewers as Governor Christie will shake hands with on any given day in New Jersey.”
Huckabee exaggerates. Matthews’ show doesn’t get anywhere near that many viewers.

Chris Matthews should keep his mouth shot until he gets below 300 pounds himself.
I AM a big fan if Mike Huckabee, so I hope he will continue to show the restraint and charitable attitude in his public remarks that have been the hallmark of his career, rather than descending to the level of people like Chris Mathews.
So very true. Softball with Chris Tingles will probably have their host experience a seizure on air after this.

First-Matthews has always been overweight. Second-Matthews is a douche. Third-the left always attack people personally, when they have no real argument.

You are absolutely right about liberals use of personal attacks as part of thier tactics. Therefore I feel no problem using it back at em. I used to be a fan of Anthony Bourdain but with his success has come the smug nastiness of a rich liberal who feels superior and entitled. Much of his shows now contain personal attacks and nasty comments in that high whiney irritating narration of his, and they are always aimed at anyone not left enough in his oppinion. In reality he is a doofous.
