The latest Rasmussen poll shows Obama with just 44% approval. Democrat strategist James Carville appears to be part of the remaining 56%. He had some very harsh things to say about Obama’s Katrina.
The Huffington Post reports the Louisiana lowdown:
Carville, the famously outspoken Louisianian who was a chief political aide to Bill and Hillary Clinton, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Thursday that the administration’s response to the spill has been “lackadaisical” and that Obama was “naive” to trust BP to manage the massive clean-up effort.
“I think they actually believe that BP has some kind of a good motivation here,” he said. “They’re naive! BP is trying to save money, save everything they can… They won’t tell us anything, and oddly enough, the government seems to be going along with it! Somebody has got to, like shake them and say, ‘These people don’t wish you well! They’re going to take you down!'”
For once, we understood every word Carville said. But we somehow doubt that anyone in the White House understood it.

Whatever. I don't trust the feds to do the cleanup either, and Jindal's people can't get all the "permissions" they had to have so they could do something to prevent it from doing even more damage to the coast. I don't think Obama wanted it cleaned up. It's awfully convenient for him to point a finger now and say "See! See what drilling for oil does?" - and he has said it. Obama made the ridiculous claim that the reason they have to drill for oil way out in the ocean is because we've already sucked up ALL of our oil that is readily accessible. This is the PERFECT segueway for Cap and Tax - and he said that, too. I have heard nothing about how the investigation of the cause of this whole thing is going, or if anyone is even looking into it further. I'm not much into conspiracies, but this was just too convenient, and I don't trust Obama or any of those kooks in Washington.
Yep. I was wondering where is the investigation on how and why this happened. It is TOO strange to me. This is all too convenient for Obama.
I will say this, if James Carville is pissed, he will let you know. If he's pissed at Obama over the oil spill & the response, Obama will know whether he wants to or not. I would love to hear/see Carville lay into him. Because you just know Carville can go on forever & Obama, well, if it's not in the telepromter, he does'nt do very well. My guess would be alot of 1 way traffic.

Obama's Katrina?...c'mon pal; do you want the guy to dive 5k ft and plug the whole himself? Or, that the US should take over oil spill response?...thought ya' didn't appreciate big gov't takeovers!
Unlike Katrina, an act of God, with berms built by the Army Corps of Engineers and people trapped in the downtown Superdome, this was an ocean-floor man-made mess compliments of the Oil Cabal/Cartel.
Give BP one more shot, then simply commandeer the effort. What a mess: big insurance mess, big Wall Street mess, big oil mess.
If Obama can tame that three-headed monster, let's have some fun: nuke North Korea...(I'm tired of those punks; let's conduct nuclear urban renewal with Pyongyang as ground zero)

It's tough to do anything when you are still campaigning, heading to see Paul McCartney in concert and maybe a hockey game.....and NOT leading.
