We’re not willing to say that Jon Stewart is fair, but he’s as fair as his world view allows him to be. There. How’s that?
Here’s his point of view on Alvin Greene winning the right to represent the Democrat primary in South Carolina’s United States Senate race.
“This is the political equivalent of running yourself a warm bath,” Stewart notes, “falling asleep next to it with your hand in the tub, wetting yourself, and then blaming the Republicans.”

I actually saw the whole thing. Sometimes when things are just TOO insane he doesn't dance the party line.
Liebowitz is still and ass, and always will be an ass. Every time anyone questions Dear Leader they are charged with racism, so why isn't criticism of Greene in the same category. Glad to see that CNN is the ghost network - isn't that racist too. (You're right, that would have had to have been spook not ghost to qualify)
I wish I lived in South Carolina, so I could vote for him in the November. We need a guy like him in the Senate to lighten things up. He seems to have such a bright and cheery personality. And late night comedy would be so good during his term. Can you just see MSNBC and CNN trying to stick up for him whenever he says something unbelievably stupid? Come on, folks, this'll be fun. And don't act like electing him will in any way degrade the quality of our Senate.
What is ad is that if this guy actually gets elected, he would be more thoughtful then most of the Dems on Capital Hill.

The voted for him because of race, thats all they needed to know.
I hate to say it, but the same thing occurred to me. I used to think that this country was beyond that kind of thing, but so many of my liberal acquaintances seemed to be supporting Obama either out of some idea that it would take away some of that misguided guilt liberals push on themselves, or as not to look like a racist in the eyes of their contemporaries.
Either way, libs got the president they deserved. All this Greene situation proves is that liberals really are incapable of learning from the past, even the recent past.

Greene won the thing fair and square with 59% of the vote. South Carolina voters (Democrats) need to look in the mirror, if they want to understand how this happened. This is nothing more than voter stupidity. They voted for a guy nobody had ever heard of and didn't bother to do any research on him. Now, they are stuck with this horror of a candidate, and they totally deserve him.
