The latest news reports say that Muammar Gaddafi’s military minions are now slaughtering people in the streets in an effort to keep the lunatic Libyan in power.
Let’s jump in Mr. Peabody’s Wayback Machine and see how the United Nations dealt with the Libyan dictator just last year:
LIBYA was elected overnight to the United Nations Human Rights Council despite numerous complaints that the country was unfit to serve on the international rights body… But the appeal fell on deaf ears, and a General Assembly secret ballot produced 155 votes in favor of adding Libya to the council, significantly more than the 97 votes needed.
Of course, conservatives howled at the time and said that putting Libya on the Human Rights Commission only proved that the United Nations concept is corrupt from top to bottom.
Liberals scoffed and said, “Rogue nations must be engaged. Putting Libya on the Human Rights Council will help them understand their role in the world.”
You might ask ordinary Libyans how that’s working out.

as 'it takes a thief, to catch a thief' doesn't apply here [the thief must be contrite and have turned over a new leaf], we're left with 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth' - there's some great 'olden daze' tortures, that would fit [and should be used on] the likes of 'gaddafi'.
the UN, is 'not' the org. is was 'supposed' to be - when it was 'created' back when - there is simply no end of 'things', that need a major 'overhaul', or just 'junked'. what we need are new leaders, those who exemplify honesty-integrety-responsibility - yadda, yadda. but, have to be careful or could end up with a castro, guddafi, hitler, or other 'bad' choices - that 'initially' looked pretty good in the beginning.
You are familiar with the adage about letting the fox guard the henhouse? I find it very interesting that the vote was secret. That should be a requirement-your vote is known by everyone, so you can't say one thing while doing another. Or anyway not get away with it scot free!
The United States should GET OUT of the United Nations!
All the more reason to stop supporting that corrupt organization.
Clearly the UN uses the billions we are extorted out of quite well.
The UN is nothing but an organization for the OIC (where there are actually 57 states) and enemies of the USA.
I strongly feel that we should stay in the UN, keep our veto but pay what the average of the security council members.

Best example of why the UN needs to go.
Here's a perfect example of how the peacful religion of Islam deals with internal affairs! Kaddafi, socialist muslim, practices orthodox socialist Islamic pogrom against unorthodox conservative forces in the streets while the unorthodox forces in the streets display the peacful Islamic practice of rioting. It's a win win! Everybody's practicing some form of peacful Islam!
I can see why they were elected to the UN's Human Rights Council.
Actually, a perfect dual purpose example, it also shows why we should kick the UN out of the US and get the US the hell out of the UN.
I've been telling friends and family for years we should get out of the ineffective and hypocritical U.N., and while we're at it get out of NATO and our troops out of all the countrys we are protecting at our cost, yet disrespect us at any opportunity. And all the money we send all over the world?, stop that too.
