Not only Ronald Reagan’s heir, but Ronald Reagan’s hair

Marco Rubio Ronald Reagan

Here’s a commercial that will give you the kind of chills you may not have felt since viewing Ronald Reagan’s Morning In America commercial. Anyone who can watch this and not vote for Marco Friggin’ Rubio is obviously an anti-American, communist son of a bitch.

In one week, Marco will become the next Republican senator from Florida. He’s conservative. He’s telegenic. He’s a great speaker. He’s the son of immigrants. He’s Hispanic. He believes in American exceptionalism. And he’s married to a former NFL cheerleader. For god’s sake, man, what more could you ask of a candidate?

Far be it from us to stick our necks out, but we think we’re looking at the future of the Republican party.

  • Marco Rubio comes from a Cuban family whose situation was similair to my family's. My family (Grandparents and parents) left Cuba shortly after Castro took power because they didn't like what they saw. This generation of Cubans tend to be very conservative.

  • I live in Florida and absolutely love Rubio. I cannot stand Crist and if we vote him in I will lose the last bit of faith I have in Florida to make the right decision.

  • Feel your pain, YT. This ethnic identity politics doesn't spell E. Pluribus Unum in any language. The whole point of America was succeeding IN SPITE of differences, not BECAUSE of them. Sheesh.

I'm going to vote for the guy because he isn't as bad as the others running. I don't need a leader, an idol, someone to adore simply because he doesn't sound all that stupid all the time but fer chrissake he's a politician, and all we need is for the hired help to read and understand the Constitution.

    • He was a lawyer... he understands the constitution, but I'm sure he knows how to cover his butt like any other lawyer! If you can decypher the lesser of the evils, let me know! I am at a loss this election!!

  • I'm not buying this guys sugar either.. to me he is another Christine O'Donnell, bubble head!!!

Besides, it was Obama's "background" that tipped many off to what kind of Pres. he would be... WOW,.... to all those who were surprised after hearing were he came from and can't believe what is happening.... I believe they were swept up buy his charisma too! P L E A S E!!!

    • No hate... just like to see some better choices for the Republican Party. Come on, these guys are going to be eaten up like live bait if they get in!!! I wish it didn't feel that way to me, but they won't make it IMO. I hope I'm wrong!!!!

      • From what I have heard from Rubio, I would vote for the guy. But that's just me, & I won't have that chance.

    • True true, but you also hav Grayson and that shill Wasserman-Schultz, so that kinda cancels that out. In all seriousness, I grew up in a tiny town just outside of Tampa called Plant City. I am currently living in California because of my Job. Please fellow Floridians, do Florida proud and the United States proud and vote for this man, and West.

  • I am proud and excited to be able to vote for Rubio! Being a Florida resident, I have had enough of the RINO Crist, and am embaressed to admit I voted for him for Governor. The sooner he is a footnote, the better. After watching the debates, I would even vote for Meek before Crist!
YT seems to be missing the whole point. Rubio doesn't mention his Hispanic (Cuban) heritage to identify himself as Hispanic, but as an immigrant (LEGAL!) and to let people know he understands their feelings about legal vs illegal immigration. BTW, Rubio isn't the incumbent, the incumbent (Mel Martinez) snuck away in the night and someone else was appointed to replace him. Mel knew he couldn't win reelection because of his unwavering support of amnesty for illegals.

  • I find it cute that his last name is Blond. So he's name is Mark Blond lol. Okay sorry but he is cute so I had to see the vid again.

    • And I got two thumbs down because I admire the guys handsomeness? Why you envious of the fact that he is more handsome than you?

  • I hope he's not the future face of the party. We don't need both parties pandering to minorities.

I'm tired of race being used as a description of one's character. But the minorities will NEVER let it go so if Rubio becomes the face of the party the GOP will be like the democrats: an amalgam of identity based voters and a handful of un-hyphenated americans.

No thanks. I'll stick with the party of american-americans that don't want to give back the mexican cessation.

      • I think he is a plant, here to post insane things where libs can come and PROVE that this site is racist and so on.

        • There is no doubt in my mind he is a plant...To watch that ad and then come and write that nearly incoherent rant about race is a good clue. The leftists are obsessed with race.

          • Dude, do you pay attention at all? The astro-turf plants come on and say "I'm a long time follower of this blog/republican voter but I have to go wtih "

Trust me, I'll still be around being a jackass on Nov 3.

          • If Rubio was a Democrat liberals would talk ad nauseum about how wonderful it is that he is an hispanic and would probably look at him take the place of Obama next major election cycle as the first hispanic President...

          • Damn right they would and thats one of the many reasons I hate Dems (and the media). But I don't want to become them to beat 'em. That was tried before and it doesnt work. Remember?

          • That still doesnt excuse you of your blatant racism nor of your two sided "talk". By acting in that way YOU ARE becoming them and it is not to beat them, is to give them ammunition against real conservatives.

      • "He’s telegenic. He’s a great speaker. He’s the son of immigrants. He’s Hispanic. He believes in American exceptionalism. And he’s married to a former NFL cheerleader. For god’s sake, man, what more could you ask of a candidate?"

I personally don't give a damn if he's Hispanic BUT I believe it is counter productive to use that as part of his identity. For some people, color is only skin deep, for others its WHO they are and that is what I am sick of and I believe has been causing problems since the MLK's death.

And not that I think Rubio himself uses his heritage to identify WHO he is but there are plenty of others that will. They are the ones I do not want perverting the idea of what a Reagan-like conservative is.

I don't know about anyone else but I've reached my limit on identity politics. Anyone who needs to use their heritage or skin color to describe themselves has no character otherwise. Unfortunately, that describes many a political or professional group. In this case, it opens a door to the mexican nationalist contingents that actively want to use Mexican(first)-Americans to take back the southwest territory (officially....they practically have it now).

I realize you were not taking that angle but probably subliminally saying "hey look, we're not racist as long as those minorities aren't commies".

But maybe I am off base. I am bitter that I've been told that I'm evil my entire life because of my skin color despite all evidence that i have.

    • Really YT? That is what you got from this ad? Do us all a favor and stay home on Nov. 2. You don't know what you're doing.

      • I'm not voting R anyway unless there is a D in there right now. I have a fever and the only cure is incumbent blood for me! mmm mmm its the best blood ever. It tastes like....my tax money.
